i wont be upset with this but i hope we dont sign him. i think he is overrated and living off of good play in 1 season. i dont think he has the chops to be a #1 left corner, and with milliner being god awful we need a stuf left CB

would much rather make a hard push for talib or hope for revis

 

He was ranked 23rd. It's not earth shattering impressive either, don't get it twisted.

He has been a very delightful project who has developed into a quality starter. He is not someone that is worth a ton of money though. Idzik knows what he is worth and he won't pay him anymore than that. They are already out there talking to the 3rd best ranked tackle in F/A right meow, Idzik isn't just going to go into next season without a solid starter at RT.

Relax. If Howard walks, he walks. Look at the guys he has resigned already, they got very reasonable contracts. Very low cost contracts that will only benefit everyone in the long run. To say Cumberland couldn't have got a better deal in F/A is silly, he could've, but clearly he wanted to play ball with this club and the fair offer on the table. That should say something about Idzik and his gameplan right now.

 

I agree he is being crazy overrated on these forums he is NOT a shutdown corner and we better not pay him like one.

 

spot on.... we dont need to be overpaying for average talent. especially when we arent a team 1 piece away from a title

 

i gotta completly disagree with this post. I think Verner is a top 5 CB in the league and is only 25. and did you watch the last month of season? it finally clicked for milliner he did great hes gonna be a stud

You weren't encouraged by Milliner's significant improvement as the season went on, culminating in DRotM award?

 

Revis, Sherman, Flowers, Peterson, Haden, that's 5 right off the top of my head that are WAY better than Verner.

milliner is hot trash. nothing "clicked" for him. he was still on ice skates and getting turned around. a couple panic throws between his numbers for picks doesnt change that.
