FWIW, if the Cavs lose this series LeBron will be 2-4 in the Finals. The 06-07 Cavs team was one really bad team he dragged to the Finals in a very weak East. His 4 Heat teams—2 were slight dogs and 2 were slight favorites and he went 2-2 in Miami. This current Cavs team was around a +210 dog but are now huge dogs without Irving.

Is it just me or does Andrew Bogut have NO movement in his knees. He must be the first pro with this characteristic.

Absolutely horrible both ways. They have no control over the game at all.

Pretty bad coaching and execution down the stretch towards the end of regulation by both teams. The Cavs iso'd LeBron no matter what knowing there was going to be all sorts of help if he went to the basket.

The Warriors were running around with their heads cut off after they went on the 13-4 run.

That's a game the Warriors can't lose. They just gave the momentum back especially with Kyrie being out the rest of the series.

I'm just not looking forward to LeBron talking about overcoming and all that bullshit including subtle ref complaints.

Its extremely clear that at this current state GS isnt leaps and bounds better than the CAVS. I can only assume if the CAVS were healthy they would of easily won game 1 and 2. Overall we have a SERIES now :D.

What a game, damn they screwed Lebron on some of those calls.

It felt like watching the Knicks out there...
Also JR SMITH IS THE DUMBEST PLAYER IN THE NBA. Thank you for dumping that guy off the Knicks. I hated him.

Dellvadova shut down Steph Curry...I mean this literally. Steph Curry scored 0 points vs. Dellvadova.

    Impressive.

GS's offensive execution was horrible all night but especially in OT

just tossing up horrible shots or turning it over

JR Smith is still a moron

And the officiating in that game was as bad as I've ever seen

it wasn't just the calls in OT, either

so many horrible calls earlier. Livingston had a clean put back that they ruled offensive goaltending on. Wasn't even close.

Does anyone think they should get rid of the max contract in the NBA? I'm not definitive on it but I think it would open up some possibilities for more teams in the league. Crappy markets like Minnesota, and such can't draw free agents whatsoever to come play there. Why not give them the ability to throw $40 million at LeBron and see if he turns it down?

Players would then have to weigh the options of being the richest in league history or competitively putting together teams with their buddies. I think it would help phase out the big 3 teams a bit as well.

No, I'd hate it. It's not really broken, messing around with no max contract could really screw things up. Conceivably a team might throw 80% of their cap at one player and that player may say "fuck it, don't care if we suck, I'm getting paid".

No. It's not just about whether a team would be willing to cripple it's cap and competiveness for one player, it's about creating a level of salary balance that all players can benefit from. What you are suggesting would impact how much other players would make, specifically reducing how much the bulk of the players in the nba would make if the top tier players started to take up significant portions of the cap themselves.

The players union certainly doesn't benefit from such a strategy by only helping a very small percentage of players make the bulk of the money.

Wouldn't it help competitive balance? There's really only a list of 5-6 teams that can win the championship in any given year. Every other sport is much different, especially hockey and baseball at this point.

Either that or make the max contract something absurd in conjunction with the salary cap so that you really only want to pay LeBron ' s and KD'S versus Joe Johnson and Rudy Gay types.
