Here are my two cents. First off, defensively, screw the man to man on the secondary and double up on Green. Get him off his game. Offensively we need to run big chucks of yardage on first down and keep their D on their heels. Cribbs will run one back for a TD. M. Lewis is due to screw things up in the game planning for the Bengals.
Going into the season, looking at the schedule I thought if we could be 4-5 going into the bye, we would have a good shot at the playoffs. Well we're 4-3 right now. Even if we lose to the Bungals, and Saints, I'll still feel good. We'll have Holmes , and Winslow back then too. Now that said, I really feel like we do better against teams that are vulnerable to pass rush, and that can't create it. I feel like we'll have a relatively rough test against the Bengals next week, but our offense will destroy their offense. Am I predicting a win? Eh I'll take a few days to think it over.
Dear Mexican Jet After you spent a full week blubbering about how the Jets were going to get smoked by the Pats, maybe you should take a breather from gloomy predictions this week Sent from my BNTV400 using Tapatalk
bengals are real strong across the board with the exception of at QB that being said Dalton has a 66% completion %, 7.73 yards per completion, 1900 passing yards, 11/6 td-int ratio & 94% QB rating this will be a tough game
The Bengal's' season remind me a bit of ours , hot and cold. Cinci is an intimidating atmosphere and will give us a huge test. For me this game is won and lost in how quickly we can regroup after the pats win. Back to work fellas and FORGET about the pats. If we go into this game too cocky we WILL lose. A bit of humility, rest, good practice and game planning we take the W. Our secondary is finally looking a lot better and I hope that we can get some more turnovers which could be pivotal. Keep our O on the field, control the clock and pamper Nick Folks foot .
I doubt it very much. trouble is we dont have anyone else that could do any better. For historical reasons I always think of the Bengals as being worse than their record or players would suggest so I certainly think we can beat them but this team is so up and down I wouldnt want to put any money on it either way.
Forget about what the defense needs to do with Cincinnati. If Geno performs well, the Jets win. If Geno doesn't perform well, they lose. It's as simple as that.
I actually think that Cro matches up well against AJ... He shits the bed against small quicker receivers but plays well against big physical ones (Julio Jones, Stevie Johnson). Lock down AJ, and get in Dalton's face all day and we walk out of Paul Brown 5-3.
You can double someone when playing man to man; they are not mutually exclusive. Also, Green sees double coverage almost every game and still makes plays.
AJ Green is big and physical, yet he's still shifty in his route running. Cromartie cannot guard excellent route running WRs and that is exactly what AJ is. AJ is the complete package. Should be an interesting battle, I doubt he locks AJ down, but Cro is due for an interception - I think it comes against Dalton.
HA. You're kidding right? Best front four in the league, solid linebackers lead by a budding star in Burfict, and a secondary that held Tom Brady and NE to 6 pts (yes without Leon Hall). TB hasn't even won a game, Pitt and Tenn are both sub 500. Obviously they aren't too great. BTW, the Bengals beat that Steelers team y'all lost to by double digits even though they are a huge division rival, so quit trying to hype it up as a decent loss. Jeez, I heard Jets fans were delusional, but reading this forum for 10 minutes has given me some new perspective. Just because the Bengals sucked in the past doesn't mean you get an automatic win. This Bengals team is across the board more talented than the Jets, period. PS. Our Geno is infinitely better than your Geno
funny stuff.... a fan of arguably the WORST FRANCHISE in the history of NFL shows up talking tough Poll will we see this turd next Monday? I vote NO
That's what I mean by delusional. I couldn't mention Richardson and Harrison in the same sentence. Wilkerson had 6.5 less sacks last season AS A DE. Geno had 12.5 from DT. That's unheard of. He's the undisputed best DT in the league, no matter what BS the New York media wants to feed you.
I love how you didn't dispute anything that I said but just made a childish insult and made fun of how bad the Bengals were from the 90's until 04 (which I acknowledged)
Calm down there champ. Wilkerson is playing 3/4 end, a position where sacks don't pile up and he still had a great season. He is a force on the line. No need to compare him to Geno. I will admit that the Bengals defense is pretty good but to say best front 4 in the league for your team, apparently you have not seen the Jets front line run stopping beast.
Thank you for being reasonable. I didn't slight Wilkerson, he's very good. He's just not Geno Atkins good. And the Jets don't have a front four, they have a front 3. Hence the 3-4. You really can't compare the two schemes head to head. Both teams are great up front, that we can agree on.
