I'll save you the suspense. We lose. Badly. No way Atlanta is starting out 1-4. Their season is on the line. Ryan will exploit the weak links in our secondary and Geno on MNF in the dome should be good for a couple turnovers (at least).
This is going to be a rough game for us. Atlanta desperately needs a win and will not take us lightly. it is a bad matchup for our D with Jones, Gonzalez and White. Atlanta will put up points. If we want to win we need to play a more balanced offense, not put the entire game on Geno, pass protect, not turn the ball over and score. All that seems like a lot to ask for. If we could run a 2009-2010 ball control offense where we ask our QB to do nothing then we might have a chance to hang around. But our new offense where we expect a rookie QB to carry the team without any help or pass protection. That is bit unrealistic.
Dolphins and Pats both beat ATL. We need to keep up that trend. We don't turn the ball over we have a chance. Isn't white playing on a bad ankle or something? Oh yeah , Tony Gonzalez... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
With the injuries to Holmes and Hill, we might be going into this game with a receiving core of Kerley, Gates, Obomanu, and Rodgers........
Really thenBirds got a lucky bounce from an onside kick, yeah like that was their play book, otherwise at best the score would of been 30-16 pats. Pats defense shut them down until garbage time.
This has all the potential of another Nationally televised embarrassment. Flags flying everywhere, Jets moving 15yds forwards, 10 yds back. Geno throwing into ridiculous coverages while Powell and the running game is an afterthought. MM still dialing up passes even though the OLine couldn't stop Cardinal Hayes' front 4. If the D has to play 35-40 mins, we're not gonna win this game. Especially since we really have no ST unit to speak of and will most likely start every drive in piss poor field position. It really doesn't look real good right now. Perhaps if we cut our penalties in half again. This time from 10-5, we MIGHT stand half a chance of staying with the Birdies.
I'd sit Geno for one game. Let him mull that over! This is BS. He's playing fast and loose as if he's playing well and the job is his. Sound familiar? Time he wakes up!
This wont be a blowout, the Falcons offense will not take us to school. They dont blow anyone out. Our defense is still great and will hold down the fort. We need to run the ball and make timely deep passes. Limit turnovers and Penalties and we have a chance to win. The Falcons are 1-3, they are 1-3 team. This Falcons team isnt a playoff team and never was. If we cant compete with a non-playoff team then our team and coaches suck.
It is not a good thing at all, but having low expectations is much easier to deal with. Normally I am very sunshiney, but this year after Mark's injury, I did not expect much. Just never felt Geno was ready. Watching games like the Titans is easier to shrug off this year, than most years. Still, very unfortunate handing 2 wins to our opponents.
Eh, we will be fine. They could be missing baker, their starting offensive tackle in baker and roddy white isn't at full speed. They also don't have Steven Jackson. Don't expect this offense to blow us out of the water. Their defense is also pretty bad and have a much shittier secondary than us. This game won't be as bad as people think, everyone is just shitting themselves over the titans game
