that is true. The Bills may be better prepared than most because we are running the same Defense under Pettine.
Fair point. The Bills do have Stevie and Fred and CJ who all catch the ball though. The POTENTIAL with this group is high though. Woods, Easily, Hogan all have break out potential.
He would get injured in 3 - 6 quarters  He's great but his style is violent and his body takes extra abuse per carry compared to most backs.
Mods...can you please ban this troll??? He's determined to ruin a perfectly spirited debate with facts. jest. But you can say the same for Geno Thursday night...he out-performed Brady in all these categories even after giving Brady 4 extra possessions via TO's (like 1st and goal on Hills catch and fumble that NE actually lost yards on).
I am not going to do the same stupid mistake I made in predicting a win against an absolutely destroyed and depleted Patriots team. We can't put away a team that is absolutely stripped bare and devoid of almost all talent. The Buffalo Bills are more than capable of dropping the NY Jets like a bad habit. They have more healthy weapons than do the Patriots. No sir...this could be an ass rapping of epic proportions. ESPECIALLY considering that the Jets are historically horrible against the teams that we are supposed to beat. In those games you can almost pencil in a Loss. At this point in time, until we actually have a receiver playing worth calling a receiver I pick this one as a loss.
5 of the Bills opponents have more time to prepare for them this year...more than any other team. Teams coming off a bye or a Thursday night game before facing the Bills. Even when the Bills have their bye, they face the Falcons, who are coming off a Thursday Night game...if you include this one, that's SIX teams that have extra time to prepare for the Bills. The poor bastards.
Both defenses are solid. It's going to be another ugly game boys... I just hope to see more of Stephen Hill shitting on Stephon Gilmore. That was fun to watch last year.
Makes perfect sense. I said the feeling amongst Bills fans that they have good wideouts is wrong, because, amongst other things, their receivers are unproven. Woods and Goodwin are not proven. In fact probably only Woods has a reasonable chance to turn into anything. Like Graham Goodwin was another example of Bills drafting a totally developmental gadget player too early. TJ is a bust. Not a football player. Hogan and Easley are so good they don't see the field except on STs. Bills fans think they have a strong wide receiving corps but they do not. Stevie is the only one who can ball. Easley and Hogan have been around NFL camps for what three or four years now and have done absolutely nothing.
Both Manuel and Smith had to share reps in practice/offseason, both were hurt in preseason and both have the same amount of real game time. They both will face the same type of defense and if anything we have the advantage since our Defense has been in-place longer and our CS has been in-place longer. So if Manuel has a better game than Smith what excuse will all the Smith supports give? We should easily win this game. If Rex is outcoached by a rookie coach what excuse will he give?
If Geno plays well, what excuse will you give? I'm sure you'll disappear again until his next poor performance.
Rex has nothing to fear from Marrone. Doug is the guy who challenged a call that the Pats had not fumbled when the ball was recovered by NE. And he lost the challenge to add insult to injury. We will have a better fix on just what EJ is capable of after the Panthers game today. Unlike Geno he has not been asked to throw downfield so far but Bills will have to do that today if they want to have any chance of beating Carolina. They cannot expect to run effectively as the bread and butter game plan against a very solid Panthers front.
Fred Jackson is a wonderful football player. He does everything you expect a RB to do and he does it well. He's a great blocker, downfield and in pass pro, he is a great target (better than CJ) coming out of the backfield, he can run hard inside and he always gets the extra yards and has great vision. He's one of those rare guys who always lets you see the game of football the way it's supposed to be played. Even though he's a Bill I've always regretted that he did not have a more conventional path to the NFL and did not benefit from coaches who could to see how talented he was (and here I give Bills fans all the credit in the world because they seemed to know what the coaches didn't). I have nothing but respect for that guy.
Ugh, we need this game. Rex needs this game. The offense better come to fucking play. Hoping Kerley is back. Praying Colon and Brick can play.
A group of friends who are Jets and Pats ticket holders took a roadie to Buffalo last week. These are not kids but guys who have been football fans a long time and know the game. To a man they believe the Jets will have a very tough time next week, and this is after watching last week and Thursday night.
