Actually Richardson graded as 61st of 63 running backs in pass blocking efficiency, according to Pro Football Focus.
The trade came about because the Colts or their GM tweeted suggesting that they were looking for a running back. The Browns GM then called and set up the trade. Since mid-season trades are pretty rare in the NFL, and since the Colts were probably pressuring them to do the deal ASAP because they wanted to get him ready for Week 3 with them, the Browns probably didn't really have much of a chance to try to shop him around (whereas in the offseason of 2013 they could have traded him and probably gotten more than a 1st round pick since there would be multiple teams interested in him.)
Wow I'm actually really surprised he was excellent at it in college and the few games I saw the browns play. Sent from my HTCEVODesign4G using Tapatalk 2
Jet fans have been saying this for what 3 or 4 years now? We are drafting an offensive skill player. Unless Barr from UCLA is on the board.
The Jets won't be picking high enough for Clowney and they shouldn't be going defense 5 years in a row in the first round. That's one of the reasons our offense sucks so terribly. They have their pass rushing OLB in Coples. They can find a compliment to him on the other side in FA.
Mr. FootballGod thinks we'll draft defensive players in the first 3 rounds. Me being on Crystal Meth is much more believable. If we do you'll see me acting like Chris Tucker from Friday in a chicken coop sweating like a slave.
I think the difference would be seen in yards per completion as opposed to yards per attempt. Manuel doesn't have as many zeros factored in because he's completing a higher percentage of his throws...so he should have a higher YPA.
This will be Ivory's game. I reckon he goes over 120 yds this game. We all know how much Marty loves to throw the ball around, but after watching the game tape they cannot ignore Ivory's performance. They've eased him back in nicely, now its time to unleash him.
Marty won't do it unless Rex orders him to. Agree that running Ivory as much as possible is key for us on Sunday afternoon.
Let's not annoint the new regime with offensive competency just yet. IF they ramp up Ivory's role, even if it's mainly by cutting down Powell's touches, that will be a very big sign that MM is the right man for the job moving forward. However, he has a history of underutilizing and maybe even misusing RB's so it's nothing close to a cinch that they make the right adjustments to the running game immediately.
Yeah but we are at home and have the much better Defense. Rex always owns rookie QBs. Andrew Luck is a much better QB than EJ but the Jets still dominated the Colts last year in a lost year.
Their Defense hasnt been that impressive anyway. Middle of the pack. Mario Williams played great but they have a lot of problems.
