Obviously our secondary is gonna have to be ON for this game. Brady isnt Freeman. One thing I liked about Milliner, he looked legitimately pissed off when he gave up yardage and unfortunately that touchdown, Kinda like Shumpert for the Knicks who takes it personally when people score on him. I love that mentality on the rook. Also, Dee just looks mean lol.
NE just added MATT MULLIGAN to their roster. I like our chances - he's still good for 2 false start penalties a game, right?
Well over 90% of Jets fans want to see Geno play. Most people simply don't want to see your hero fuck up games any more. He had his chance. He had over 60 career NFL starts to prove his worth. Plus, he's not even healthy. Let it go.
No it hasnt. Except for the "throw it deep to moss " year. Welker led the NFL in receptions for what 3 out of the last 4 years? Brady works inside and on time, with a combo of Weis' playbook, and several principles from the Airraid, and Chip Kellys system. But it relies on letting the WR getting inside. If the CB lines up face to face...then sidesteps inside, chucking th Wr inside shoulder with his outside hand, then mirroring underneath... 3 things will happen. Brady will get his Jersey dirty, he will get pissy, and the Pats will lose.
Who had the better preseason? Guess you like dark meat. In 7 quarters, we got 4 ints, a safety, a fumble inside the five, and Im the one blowing someone. Lot Lizard.
You know he's studying film while learning an NFL playbook, practicing, working out, and doing interviews, right? Knowing 11 names isn't impressive in and of itself, but it's the whole package that's in play here.
And fans get paid to win Games? Just today Parcells, you know the HoF coach, called his 98 squad one of the best he ever coached, QB., Vinny T. Gee. Imagine that, a HOF coach,, bringing in a guy calling his turnovers, a product of where he was asked to throw...and then getting to..oh wait, the AFCCG.... With said guy. Get back to me when you know what youre talking about,
:rofl2: Did you miss the int over the middle. Or the fumble insode the five. You know what the difference was last week.... sanchez allows a bigger p,aybook, and knows when to call a time out.
Again remind me... Who had the better preseason? And mods, not to be a dick...but I got a week off for having an opinion. Not for personal atracks. I guess some opinions are more equal than others.
Uhm . . . what? When did Parcells ever say, or even imply, the bolded? You seem to be assuming that is what Parcells thought of Vinny when he brought him in. Of course, you are forgetting that Vinny was brought in as a backup and there was initially NO plan for him to start. As a result, your entire argument is null and void. Also, and perhaps even more significantly, Vinny's performance in 1998 completely and utterly ass-rapes each and every one of Sanchez's first 4 seasons as a Jet. Thus, your comparison was hopelessly meaningless to begin with. What are you babbling about? Virtually none of what you wrote was relevant, in any way, shape, or form, to the discussion at hand. Mark Sanchez sucks and people got tired of watching him play. They wanted someone else to get a chance. Come back to us, Hobbes.
Hobbes put an end to your act first of all stop using the preseason to judge the rookie he looked better week 1 than he did in the preseason did he make some crucial mistakes on his turnovers yes and he said so himself did he do some good things yes he did and can we build off that yes we can what more do you want
What parcells said, almost verbatim, was ... Vinny has been asked to throw outsode the numbers, and down the field. Which..,,ironically mirrors what Walsh said, about the percentage related to throws more than 12 yards. Like I said. Ber back ro me when you know what youre talking about. Parcells comment about the 98 squad, was on fatcessa today, you can look it up. If you want to dispute his quote from the 98 preseason, first tell me why he brought him here, then maybe ill try to find the exact quote. Remeber they were running Weis playbook. And while the exact quote isnt available. http://www.deseretnews.com/article/638368/Testaverde-Parcells-pairing-is-no-winner.html?pg=all Weis, Vinny Parcells. Context
I think we'll give them a good fight, but I'm worried about our lack of running game and ability to sustain long drives. I'm very excited to see our young, promising defensive line attempt to exert itself in this game. (I really, really, really wish we had a healthy Coples). But even if we play lights out defensively, I would expect the Pats to score a couple of touchdowns . . . The combination of Brady's no-huddle mastery and their criminally underrated running game is just very formidable.
Right, he only had two turnovers instead of four, All I want, is The best chance to win 11 or 12. Sorry, if I dont just pine for Geno. The Genomania, is the act. Yes.,.dont use the preseason " competition" to judge the player, because Sanchez clearly outperformed him. Just like I said he would. Any rational observation, says... An extremely talented, but Raw player. Fcol watch Manuel, the guy the Jills traded up for play. He looks polished. geno just isnt Right now, geno is playing bc Sanchez is injured. No other reason. Everyone knows it, and I am the one with an "act" ...
He brought him here to be a backup. Get a fucking clue. Your insistence on portraying Parcell's perception of Vinny, before he took over in the third game of that season, as anything other than a backup is either blatantly dishonest or depressingly misinformed. Also, the notion that Sanchez is potentially set to have a breakout season on the order of Vinny's 1998 season, while perhaps a nice thought, has no basis in reality. It may be possible, but it's incredibly unlikely. There are a multitude of differences between Sanchez and Vinny. For starters, by 1998, Vinny had been in the league a lot longer than Sanchez has up until now. Secondly, Vinny had bounced around. He didn't attain success with the team that drafted him . . . he underwent several changes of scenery (Something that Sanchez desperately needs). Lastly, Vinny had no pressure on him in 1998, as no one expected anything from him coming into that season. Once more, he was brought in by Parcells to be a reliable backup. Stop hallucinating.
No, instead, you mindlessly "pine" for one of the worst starting quarterbacks in the league over the last four years.
No, the difference was that Sanchez who would have made the same mistakes or worse would have completely withered and sulked all night whereas Geno wasn't a baby about it and kept going out there with a positive attitude. Honestly, your delusions about Sanchez have officially gone from funny to worrying for your mental health to thinking you must just be trolling to funny again and are now just predictable and kind of sad. I would block you but I'm worried they will become funny again and I will be missing out on some good laughs.
