Why do I get the feeling that the jets first offensive play will be a long throw to Stephen hill with revis covering........

And hill has a step but.....

The perfect throw goes right thru his hands.

That would set the tone for sure.

Yes I'm new to this board but I have read a lot before I started posting. I think the Jets are going to shock a lot of people. Not saying there going to Super Bowl but I think this team has more talent on it then last season. As for the Bucs game... I think the Jets win it easy. It I'm the OC I test Revis early and often.

I'm ok with a 50/50 split of hope from Jets fans. That is reasonable. But the above bolded statement is just asinine in my opinion.

Where are the homerism police??? Arrest this man!

I'm wondering how the Jets O-line will handle the DT pro-bowler Gerald McCoy...

For those that don't know, the three best DT's in the NFL are generally considered to be Atkins (Cin), Suh (Detroit), and McCoy (Tampa)...

What will Geno do if after 2 seconds McCoy penetrates the OL and is in his face???

That is, if bird-brained Schiano doesn't have McCoy doing stunts on the line as opposed to straight rushing the passer?

Hobbes you do realize that your argument of not taking the "out" with Geno just show's how much the Jets think of Geno compared to Sanchez? Your homer goggles keep you from seeing that it's becoming apparent that everyone on the coaching staff and front office wanted Geno for the job.

It's clear that Idzik did, it's becoming clear that MM preferred Geno over Sanchez. and it's even becoming clear that Rex was pushing more for Geno than Sanchez. Sanchez over his career has basically played himself off the team and if not for a bone headed Tanny move by extending Sanchez when he in no way deserved it he'd already be gone from the team.

Folks, here you have it. Hobbes throwing Rex AND MM under the bus for Sanchez. WE get it Hobbes, you love Sanchez, he's your boy. But damn man, stop throwing EVERYONE under the bus in his defense.

I know I know, the reason for his redzone interception was the Peanut vendor distracted him, throw his ass under the bus.

I think some of these players that we were salivating over in preseason are going to get exposed in Week 1. Its scary how we dont have much star players. I'm not even saying Pro Bowl players. I'm talking about just star players.

    We got Mangold, Wilkerson, and . . . . ummm . . .

And as far as our offense. It takes like a whole quarter before we can score.

This is going to be a long season.

yeah, I think the JETS will test Revis very early, at least one time.

preseason showed this is a different offense though. Of course, PS with a grain of salt but the 1s were finally getting open and running good routes. Some good medium gains too.

McCoy is a great player, but he can't lick Wilkerson's shoes, nor Atkin's and Suh's for that matter......

And McCoy will probably see a lot of Mangold, so I wouldn't be salivating over that matchup.

After summoning the spirits of the testicle mucus from one of my goats, I am sensing the Bucs will become familiarized with a certain Jet wearing #91.

This game is highly winnable. On another note, the game is basically a must win for the team. If they win this, they could start out 3-1 with 5 very difficult games coming up after that.

Obviously the Mangold match up is the one we want, but if they're smart they'll try to get him a on 1 with ducasse as often as possible.

I agree, but the first "must win" game will be the Bills, week 3, in my opinion. Especially if we lose to Tampa.

We sound like opposing fans that would come here and talk about their WR lighting up Revis. Granted Revis is hurt now, so I would check to see how he's moving, but it's still Revis.

I'm worried Doug Martin and our offense

!) I can't believe I actually have the capability of quoting you...

    2) Yes, I'm very aware of Mangold...

So in this upcoming game, don't watch the ball... watch the lines...

You will see that Mangold is vulnerable...

Who is one of the most dynamic young LB's in football?

You might say Luke Keuchly (spelling) in Carolina...

You would be right AND wrong at the same time...

I won't say anything further right now, just check the stats...

Ya'll are not ready for us...
