So it's more likely that the Jets didn't do the logical thing and take the 2 outs they were given in a sham of a competition than it is to believe that they actually were fielding a QB competition and in the process, did what was logical? Boy it is fun for us to get to sit back and see how your corn kernel processes things.
Greetings Jets fans... Looking forward to a hard-fought, injury-free game next week. I've been lurking around here (periodically) since the Revis trade. Of course I'm not a Jets fan, but I like your board and its community. You indeed have both intelligent and passionate posters. There has been much talk around the league about your team's QB situation. Well, if it's any comfort, we are concerned about ours as well (although not as concerned as you are with yours). We are wondering how our QB will perform against that good D-line you have. This is a "make or break" year for Freeman, and he has had a horrid pre-season. Can he identify Rex Ryan's blitz packages? We shall see... Being drafted in the same QB class, it almost seems that Freeman and Sanchez have been tied at the hip. Both can be quite inconsistant (but one seems to be more durable). However, that's just an interesting side-note because Sanchez doesn't appear to be playing. I also like your young receivers, and that Hill guy seems to have a 6th gear when running routes. Overall, despite what the media says, the Jets are not a joke. You have an NFL caliber team that is not to be overlooked. You will win this game if your defense plays lights out, your offense scores at least 20 points, and you have no turnovers. In essence, you will not win this game... I won't go into specifics as to why just yet. Just remember that because of the division we play in, and even with the worst passing defense in the league last year, we had to see Drew Brees twice, Matt Ryan twice, and Cam Newton twice (he really is "Superman" when he's not crying and sulking). We still came out 3-3 in the division. But now our defense gets to face Geno, a rookie... However as I said before, I am looking forward to a hard fought game. Cheers! P.S. Doug Martin, Vincent Jackson, Mike Williams, and DARRELLE REVIS have just asked me to say "Hello" for them... HELLO!!!
Good post, and welcome to the board! I agree with pretty much everything you said. It really comes down to our 2 defenses and what they can do against our 2 inexperienced and/or inconsistent Qbs. Turnovers will be the key, though I think the Jets have a decent chance.
There...fixed that for you! Welcome to the board and thank you for conceding victory so early in the week! lol Seriously though, it's going to be a game...not sure if it's going to be good or not but we'll see...I have about 50/50 faith right now.
People keep talking about how shitty Freeman looked in the preseason but that is because Doug Martin didn't play. Teams will be forced to respect the run once he is in the game and that literally changes everything.
Even so has Josh Freeman ever looked like a competent qb? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 2
Is Nicks going to play? Freeman may have his hands full if he doesn't. We still don't know. Regardless, Nicks didn't play most of last year... Somehow, Doug Martin still took off, and Freeman exceeded 4000 yds passing. (I apologize, but it seems that I need a certain amount of posts to use the "quote" feature. For now I have to quote you using italics).

Even so has Josh Freeman ever looked like a competent qb? All I can say is this: Don't let Martin get started! If Martin starts doing his thing, Freeman turns into Joe Montana... Just saying...
One week from now this board will be: A. THE SKY IS FALLING B. What a win! Geno is the future! C. Tough loss but proud of the effort. D. Whoa. Did not deserve that win, but I will take it! Hoping for B, but thinking it will be A.
Yes I'm new to this board but I have read a lot before I started posting. I think the Jets are going to shock a lot of people. Not saying there going to Super Bowl but I think this team has more talent on it then last season. As for the Bucs game... I think the Jets win it easy. It I'm the OC I test Revis early and often.
Irony... I just recently moved to Tampa. Jets and Bucs have no rivalry whatsoever so I can pick them up as my second team now.... and they just so happen to be playing the Jets week one. Gonna go troll the bars in my Jets jersey next Sunday
