I was completely shocked when it was announced we took Sheldon Richardson with the 13th draft pick. I usually follow a draft by need philosophy when doing JET mocks but our FO was using BPA philosophy when the JETS were OTC.
With time, I've become much more appreciative of picking Richardson. This guy led all SEC D-linemen by a mile with 75 tackles - an amount usually reserved for a LB.
Long arms for a DL, great footwork, good use of his hands (as mentioned) and non-stop motor according to all reports prior to the draft. Most important, recognized by the Alabama O-lineman as, by far, the best DL they faced in 2012. Looking forward to see what this kid could do.

It'd be really nice if Geno Smith's deep game turned Hill and Gates into threats. With both of them the underneath game is not a strength. If you get them behind the defense they could be scary. Even the drops aren't as big a deal when the payoff for catching the ball is 7 points instead of 7 yards.

I'm not a Geno hater at all, but I was under the impression that Geno had an overall great accuracy but a pretty bad accuracy on the deep throws.

Throwing to midgets deep hurts efficiency

Geno throws a beauty especially after his work with pro coaches

New Thread Rules are Ridiculous for Training Camp

I know mods and others on this board have are obsessed with keeping the number of threads down, but we need to make an exception with the training camp thread. There HAS to be a separate thread for each day of camp.

We should not have to scroll through pages and pages of a thread to find out what happened in camp today. I just went on the thread and had to go 7 pages in to get past yesterday's news (which I already read) and find today's news. I do not have the patience or the time to do this every day. In two weeks, the thread will be 100 pages long. That is absurd.

Can we please have a separate thread for each day of camp? It is insane to have a single training camp thread.

Try the View First Unread at the top of the thread.

I don't see a problem with having a separate thread for each day.

I was just watching the day 2 highlights, and I think that was the first time I ever heard hitman talk. When you see those iconic pictures of him, and then hear him speak, I admit it throws you way off haha. He is so soft spoken, and polite. He looks like he'd have a raspy badass voice.

I hope Griffin does well so I can change the name on my Revis jersey. Plus help at the running back position would go a long way.

  16. Jets have been high on Griffin for awhile. It'll be interesting to see if he can take advantage of the playing time.

Totally agree. We should also split up the Sanchez sucks thread into daily threads because I really don't like going back 3 pages (THAT'S 3 WHOLE CLICKS, PEOPLE!!!) to read the latest Sanchez slander! It's too hard! Oh nooooooz!

    /sarcasm
