Speak for yourself. It really depends on the severity of the hamstring injury. Sometimes tightness can be mistaken for a small tear that was not given the opportunity to really show the player how bad it was. Sometimes the player lies about the severity.

For a guy that relies on bursts of speed with his legs like a RB or WR, a hammy can come back to haunt you over and over again all season.

It takes a lot of time and a lot of rest to heal a significant hammy.

I won't feel comfortable about this until he has practiced for a good part of TC.

  2. I totally agree with you. He was a complete ball hawk that took away the middle of the field. Did he get beat a few times deep?Yes. But not very often. He completely offsets those negative plays by the impact he makes over the middle of the field

I don't remember Landry getting burned in coverage too often. He was always right there making the play on the ball. PFF also ranked our oline as a top 3 in the NFL despite 34 sacks and 63 qb hits, so I wouldn't take their stats as absolute or anything. It seems many of the categories in which they base their rankings on are situational and can't really sum up the performance of the whole unit.

Whose stats did you base your comment on about Landry being the #2 SS in the NFL?

Did you guys see the recap on the Jets website

Geno looks bigger, stronger, more fluid, cleaner footwork, crisp mechanics and his deep ball is a beauty

He sure does throw a beautiful ball. Can't wait to see them on TV.

Smith was on borrowed time. Kaepernick was Harbaugh's draft pick. Smith was his reclamation project. One logically gives way to the other as soon as the opportunity presents. Wally Pipp.

Any injury with Chris Ivory is very serious because the man is a walking M*A*S*H case based on his college and NFL history.

The fact that he has already tweaked a hamstring at the start of camp suggests the over-under for games played in this year for him is probably 8.

Bilal Powell is going to be carrying the load. We'll see if he can do it.

Sanchez just hit Braylon on a 20 yard out, pass was behind Braylon but he made a great adjustment to snatch the ball and turn up field #Jets

Jets defense doing nickel package walk throughs now. As always, Rex has some interesting wrinkles. #Jets #JetsCamp

Duel skirmishes break out, Cromartie vs. Hazelton and Clyde Gates vs. Fletcher. Much rejoicing. #Jets

True but it's nice to have a receiver who can actually make an adjustment to the ball.

Going to the Bucs camp today, I'll scout them for week 1 and send the full report to Coach Ryan.

    Jake Steinberg ‏@Steiny31 1m
RT @KristianRDyer: Ricky Sapp continues form from yesterday, very strong off the edge.

    Chris Nimbley ‏@Cnimbley 2m
Sheldon Richardson just forced his way through the line & as McElroy was pumping the ball Richardson flew drive right into him

    Brian Bassett ‏@Brian_Bassett 1m
Mark Sanchez had a bad overthrow deep and Antonio Allen picked it off.

    Chris Nimbley ‏@Cnimbley 49s
Also interestingly enough Kyle Wilson took a few reps at safety, but was back at outside CB on last play

    Chris Nimbley ‏@Cnimbley 56s
. @shhwagah yup, but this year Cro's being way more physical. He's pretty much bullying people out here

Ricky Sapp could be a blessing off the edge in sub packages
