I just went and saw that article and wow are people getting fuckin desperate to hate on the Jets. Why havent we heard this!? BECAUSE IT'S SOME BS.
They'll find anything to shit on the Jets. Its sad. It makes them look like a joke that this is the best story headline they could put out there for the Jets. Smh.
Ya it F'n BS and very unjust... Geno has 4 days of Pro work outs lol of course he is going to get gassed doing those drills after a long day.
Best way to get those guys to shut up is to win. I really just wanna see Geno prove all these people wrong.
its nice and refreshing to read all the posts. alot of positives and i agree with the guy who said this seems to be a likable team right now fighting for positions.\ but part of me still feels like its all steve sabol talking.
Jordan White was injured again today and didn't participate AFAIK, and the only one who has a history of being injured with the Jets.
You should know by now that TC is either a tragedy or a feelgood story depending on how it is depicted. The good part is that we already know the tragic aspects of the story and now we are getting some sunlight in there. I'm not going to fool myself about anything, but I know that we have a tough MFing defense that is young and will make some mistakes, a QB competition of the brand we haven't had in decades, and some over-achievers on offense which may make the O competitive this season. Gotta be honest though... we lost Westhoff, so our STs may be the weakest unit on the team this year, which is something we have not had to worry about for a long time.
Any news on any of the new O Linemen? Been hearing about the QBs, WRs, and Defense, but nothing about the OL.
While I'll admit there may be a drop off since Westy was the best whose done it, I think having overall better athleticism across the team will help compensate.
I know a lot of people here are rooting for Geno to be the starter (I am too), but you should want Sanchez to be good and Geno to be better. You should not want Sanchez to suck and Geno to win by default for the following reasons - (i) Geno should be ready to play before he starts - you don't want him to be destroyed out there and get his confidence shot, (ii) you don't want your backup quarterback to suck and be unable to play if your starter gets hurt and (iii) if Sanchez looks good, maybe we can trade him (although we'd likely have to eat most of his guarantee). I see some people cheering every Sanchez interception or other failure. If you're a jets fan you should not want to see that even if you do want Geno to start.
OL is one of those things that the less you hear the better usually. That being said Rex started his press conference by praising W. Colon and A. Howard yesterday. So that's a good sign. “The guys that jumped out at me were Willie Colon and Austin Howard. You saw the whole (defensive) line cave back about eight yards. I might’ve been able run behind that,’’ Ryan cracked. “Those big powerful guys, that’s what you need. We want run behind Willie Colon and Austin Howard 3rd-and-1, and you know it’s coming, we have to be able to get it."
