rex just says milliner will never be revis shows how much he really loved revis, but i also think it was the right thing to say. lowers the expectations a little bit
It's gonna suck for Mark when Eugene wins the job. (Even though I want Eugene to start) All that confidence for nothing. And I honestly believe he gave it his all to be a better starting quarterback this offseason, he's just not talented enough, and that's the saddest part of all of this.
Mark must of felt last yr under the circumstances, he deserved another chance at the starting role. He can be confident running his mouth, but he needed to prove it out on the field and Geno has been better so far.
And next year we got 11-12 picks with 4 in the first 3 rounds to add to them and let's not forget Kerley and a solid O-Line
I'm almost positive Jets have more than 4 in the top 100 selection this coming draft. I'd say 6, but I wouldn't rule out 7. [Jets did lose a heap of talent through FA departure the past spring.] If Geno pick works out, then Jets can go with impact players in the first two, then use the next 4 (or 5) restocking OLB/S/OL. Fantastic timing, I'd add.
The future does appear bright. Jets have a lot of contributors still developing. If they add 1 or 2 impact players like you alluded to..this team could easily take off & leave the rest of the AFC East in the dust. Extremely early of course..but if these WR's keep panning out..the focus moves to Tight end in terms of offensive playmakers. There are at least 2 underclassmen types worthy of a first round selection next year. That bodes well for the Jets
Thanks for keeping us updated. Kirwin is definitely a media figure I respect. His run here wasn't great but he knows x's & o's, as well as how to evaluate players. Good to see that he likes what he sees from the Jets
1 thing I'm interested in is do we eventually replace Harris, Cromartie, Ferguson and Mangold once our young guys start to develop
