QB stats: Geno 5/10, TD, 2 sacks, 2 drops with first team. Sanchez 3/6, INT, sack with second team. #nyj

Advantage: Geno. I think it's worth noting that Geno has looked better (judging by numbers and Tweets from those there) with both the 1s AND 2s.

So far Geno is passing the first test. Now all he needs is a strong showing in preseason and the job will be his. I have zero faith in Sanchez at this point. He's done as far as I'm concerned.

    It's called a car.

Of course, he probably has a ton of paper work and other bullshit that goes along with settling into camp or checking into anyplace day 1.

Either an honestly dumb mistake - mentioning the Giants' OC instead of the Jets - or an attempt to make a stupid joke by mentioning the OC that Buddy Ryan punched on the sideline with the Oilers.

    I'm thinking it's the former.

Evans is just trying to sell as best as he can in the little time allotted to him. Trash Jets is a big seller in the national media. That's just what it is.

I'll bet if you asked him 10 fact based questions about the Jets that only an astute observer would get right he'd flub 9 of them and the 10th would only be right because even a blind squirrel finds an acorn now and then.

The only people that are worth listening to right now are the people who cover the Jets almost full time. They're the ones who are going to look bad if their attempts to sell go far off the mark.

The national media is just in drive-by mode at this point.

Everything I read here and from a couple Twitter feeds is about Geno looking good and some good plays by WRs.

The two tweets from Cimini are both negative, saying WRs are dropping balls and Sanchez sucks.

The best part is how the ESPN AFC East blog has almost no stories about the Jets. Last year it was all Tebow garbage. Now it's like they're purposely ignoring them. I love it!

Consistency. We are talking about a few days of practice.

Sanchez, must be shitting his pants a little though. No more old man Brunell or noodle arm Mc something from Alabama or the virgin Got send Tebro to save his starting job. This is a viable NFL caliber QB he is competing with now. This is great.

Some chick on the NFLN yesterday (who only got the job because she looks good) must have referred to the Jets as a circus 5 times in about 2 minutes.

Her main reason for it being a circus was because there was a QB competition. Said Smith vs. Sanchez was just like last year with Tebow and Sanchez (luckily there was a guy there who actually knew football and corrected her saying the two situations are completely different).

If Geno can consistently apply the pressure he has so far with his solid performances (from what we hear), I think Sanchez will crack and start really fucking up.

I know I was thinking that this morning.

Living in Florida, Tebow was an advantage for me because SportsCenter would have Jets camp stuff all the time.

Now that we've closed the side show attractions and the circus is over, we get no recognition except for a few dumbass "Football experts" and journalists writing BS to stay relevant.

All in all, no coverage=Good camp :jets:
