Yeah I thought he was going to Arizona at 7 so I was surprised when he made it to 9. I thought I was going to have an interesting decision between Geno Smith and Chance Warmack instead of Fisher... That would have been interesting. Probably would have went Chance though. Thanks, I appreciate that. I know a lot want OLB in this draft in the first round, but even if Jones were available it would have been a tough decision. Werner and Moore are the only passrushers I truly love and would take at 9. Jones' medical scares me a lot... Personally, I am a big advocate of drafting for the offense. Its one of the least talented units and we need to upgrade it big time.
Wow this draft has been interesting so far, a lot of picks I wasn't expecting. Awesome pick with milliner to the Browns. I had no idea where you'd go with that pick WW. Great job with the Fisher pick for the Jets, he's the best option there with all those players gone. And I also really like the Cards getting Geno at 7. Their OLine is terrible but with so much OLine depth in this draft, they should make out really well.
I had no idea I was picking Milliner until Moore went off the board. My top 3 defensive players for the Browns were gone....Werner, Moore & Jones. Milliner was clearly the next best defensive player available.
Chargers need a LT badly, Lane has been very impressive as of late and should continue to do the same in workouts.
Really like the Lane Johnson pick. Chargers need a LT badly and he is definitely shooing up the draft boards.
Good Charger's pick, they need a LT badly and Johnson shined Senior bowl week. It would have been my choice.
I have him somewhere around 25 on my value board but with the recent interest by the Chargers, as well as him preforming so well, I had to pull the trigger.
Few things... 1) I can't see the Lions passing up Milliner. Their OLB might need help but their secondary is in real bad shape. 2) Part of me thinks Geno Smith makes a lot of sense....but part of me also thinks their tackles or better yet their whole O-Line is just so, so bad that Fisher might just be too good to let go. 3) Can't justify a guard in the top ten, no matter how much I like Warmack. Great player, but they could have gone with an OLB as you can't rely on Merriman at this point and their LB core would not mind to get upgraded. I like the Jets pick....don't know if they go and do that come April but I have no gripes with the pick.
GUYs...no resaon to miss picks....PM me your Board if you know you might not be around. Everyone was PMed, acknowledged my PM, and knew the draft was today. I have to remove one GM, I don't want remove anyone else. If I have to give GMs that are dedicated to this process (another team) 3 teams, I will.
I wonder if a certain favorite player falls to your Bears pick. I completely doubt it but I dont see how you'd pass it up.
Few places I'd go honestly....I know who you mean but I don't know if that's their biggest need. Next few picks might decide. Cutler has Trestman and Emery's ear...and we know what Cutler would want LOL.
Lot of good picks so far. Couple notes: Had to go with Joekel for KC. I don't love Geno that much more than some of the guys I can get later on. With that said, apparently Oakland loves Smith so who knows. Lot of teams with similar needs coming up. Should be interesting.
