Picking 2 out of 3 of Memphis, Dallas, Phoenix to make the playoffs is tough. I think I'd want Memphis and Dallas above Phoenix, but PHX just got Bledsoe back which makes them more fun. So tough to choose.
^ yeah I'm most excited to see Memphis so it comes down to Dallas/PHX from a fan perspective I'm not sure who I would rather see
They're ignoring the game to show an interview with Kobe that was done earlier. They could've just aired this at halftime and taken out some of the halftime show rather than wrecking the game. We need to hear about the latest sports drink?
"our ric bucher, moments ago..." That wasn't moments ago. That interview was done at least a half an hour ago. Idiot. Air it on the postgame show if you don't want to do it at the half. People watch to see the game, not hear about sports drinks.
Oh it just hit them we might not make the playoffs? That's news to me, I thought we were in the running for the 3 seed. And Yisman, to the Kobe interview. My shot in the dark guess, it was supposed to air within the beginning of the game on TNT but the game got overlapped by DAL/OKC so they bumped it.
they said it was done during the second quarter (which is why "moments ago" was such a bald-faced lie), but I don't get why they had to air it during live game action. Halftime and postgame are the time for that. I hate when networks do the split screen and we lose the announcers.
"we have just had the crappiest string of games..." that was during the break, courtesy of Kevin Harlan. I get the feeling TNT would be furious if he said that on air. lol http://goatd.net/80338/watch-new-york-knicks-vs-los-angeles-lakers I get to hear their conversations while TNT is showing ads.
Matt Winer @matt_winer · 30m ago The Lakers' 82 points off their bench is the most in the NBA this season... Matt Winer @matt_winer · 49m ago NBA record for points in a quarter, btw, is 58 by the Buffalo Braves in '72... Matt Winer @matt_winer · 50m ago That 51-pt 3rd Quarter is not only a Lakers franchise record, it's the most the Knicks have ever allowed in a quarter.
Great article on Monta Ellis and Dallas http://grantland.com/features/dallas-mavericks-monta-ellis-dirk-nowitzki-2014/
Interesting note about the Pacers: Hardwood Paroxysm @HPbasketball 6m Important key re: @kpelton 's piece on Pacers' shot selection. In playoffs last year, converted a significant portion of mid-range 2s to 3s. Hardwood Paroxysm @HPbasketball 3m This is why I was so caught off guard by the Pacers' offense in the playoffs. 1/2 Hardwood Paroxysm @HPbasketball 3m 2/2 For five months, the Pacers shot a metric ton of mid-range jumpers, and then suddenly converted them to 3s in the playoffs. Hardwood Paroxysm @HPbasketball 44s @kpelton At this point, after they did that vs. Knicks and Heat, then reverted back, I have no idea what their identity is. Hardwood Paroxysm @HPbasketball 45s Part of me legitimately wonders after looking at playoffs and early season vs. now if the Pacers are sandbagging. Hardwood Paroxysm @HPbasketball 34s @ZachLowe_NBA @kpelton so now it's "Well, was that just an outlier? Do they just have matchup abilities to find shots vs. those 2 teams?"
