I dunno but they were offering 7/$175m to Cano so that can now go elsewhere methinks.

How are the Yankees getting Price exactly? Even if they had the pieces(they don't) why would Tampa trade him in the division?

Yeah it's a pipe dream. Would love it though.

Are there any middle rotation pitchers left?

@FeinsandNYDN: BREAKING: Source says Yankees and Carlos Beltran have agreed to a three-year deal. More details to come.

Better 9 years late than never.

Lol whats the price tag if you know? I think Beltran still has at least 2 good years in him if he stays healthy.

Vernon Wells' 2014 salary is $24.6M. Six outfielders $90M+ four of them at least 35 on opening day.

I like the Beltran signing. Happy to see another player who can hit in the postseason.

Because of the way Anaheim included money, Wells costs the team $0 towards the luxury tax line this year.

^I heard he will not sign an extension with the Mariners if traded there. He won't be traded within the division so we might as well not even go there.

I heard Yanks were looking at CLE SP Justin Masterson. Thatd be a good pickup, but Cleveland doesn't necessarily want to move him as of now. He would be perfect for the middle rotation.

Brett Anderson signed with the Rockies so he is out.

I'm getting all of my info via Rotoworld Baseball and Joel Sherman twitters

Yanks reject the Reds' offer of 2B Brandon Phillips for Brett Gardner.
