Titans are ranked 23rd in offense and 27th in defense , there 25th against the run and 23rd against the pass. We should be able to make some big plays on them, But i thought the same thing about JAX to, And Jared Cook leads the team with 4 td's and he just got hurt and put on IR, I say we win 28-13,Sanchez throws for 189 yards 2 TD's 0INT he is 17 for 26 and Greene and Powell rush for a combined 176 yards, Greene gets a 7 yard TD run and Cromartie gets a pick 6 in the 4th qtr, any questions???
Don't want to rain on anybody's parade but didn't the Jets lose the 1st Braylon Edwards debut in 2009 and went on a losing streak?
Yeah the Jets lost in Miami. Braylon did have a touchdown. What the fuck does any of this matter 3 years later? Braylon and Sanchez had 0 experience together at that point and actually know each other now.
I have a question ... when you say Sanchez throws 2 TD's and 0 INT's with a 65% completion percentage, are you referring to MARK Sanchez??
Home team generally gets -3.5 to start with. That's basically saying the Jets would be 2 point favorites on a neutral field.
From what I remember Edwards had a monster first game, despite losing to the Dolphins. Then he got a little bit quiet and had some dropping issues, but came on strong near the end of the season when we won 5 out of our last 6 and snuck in.
Titans have no Jared Cook and 4 offensive lineman playing that are replacing injured starters. If the Jets front 4 can't beat the hell out of Locker and force some mistakes like every team has this season it will be a sad day. CJ is dangerous but with that make shit offensive line he really hasn't been doing much.
Under their new OC, CJ is averaging 48 ypg and 3 ypc . knock on wood that this trend continues on Monday night. However I'd expect CJ to be force fed the ball more so he doesn't get embarrassed in primetime and start a temper tantrum. Also, having your big target TE out and facing our stout secondary will cater to a bigger investment in the run game. But don't let CJ fool you, he's run better down the stretch but for the most part hes just been piling up stats in garbage time against prevent defenses.
Yep, this is why you don't overpay a running back, once CJ got paid he went down the shitter, still he can have a great game once in a while, like against Buffalo. But most of his rushing yards came in garbage time, and besides the Buffalo game he is nonexistant. Kind of funny at one point Tebow had twice as many rushing yards as him 5 weeks into the season.
Oh watching some Locker games, he is erratic as Sanchez, a lot of under throws and over throws, especially if he is kept in the pocket. I think his completion percentage is second worst in the league after Sanchez.
Game is simple -- Locker against 5 pass rushers is the worst QB in football. Colts played the 1st half with 4 rushers and 5 or more in the second. Locker fell apart. Gotta mix in some of the defense where everyone is standing -- confuse him because he doesn't handle pressure and doesn't seem to be able to make adjustments. Confuse him pre-snap and it is to your advantage.
