everyone has the same thing with the results page if you want to know how many you got each week you need to track it yourself (or make the same picks on another site). I need to win this thing. I've had at least two top 5 finishes (including last year), but I haven't closed the deal.
I've been a member here since early 2004 as a slightly unstable 15 year old. I was originally named MVPennington. I always wondered if it should be pronounced MVP ennington, or MV Pennington, had an idiotic day, and got my IP address banned. I don't remember what it was about, but I'm sure I could have handled it better. A few weeks later, I coincidentally received a new computer for whatever occasion, maybe for "school work", and to type up important things yada yada. So me being the smartass, competitive, stubborn self I was, and quite frankly still am, signed back up as NYJalltheway, and started fresh. In my 8+ years here, I've been in stupid fights with abyzmal, 3rd and 15 draw, and maybe a few others. I've proudly posted a picture of my new jets tattoo, which honestly on the kneecap is pretty ballsy, and quite painful, only to be insulted for how it looks with the flash reflecting off me. (Since I've gotten older, my natural skin color has very minimally started reshowing, making it look more realistic, not so bright, and artsy.) I've been criticized for supposedly loving every team in the league. Taken out of context, a lot of people had the wrong idea. Anyways, a short time later, I shortened up to NYJATW, and I've been using that tag on basically everything in my life for quite a few years now. I'm 24, and would like to think I'm becoming a better person, with more direction after going thru quite a lot in the recent years. I don't post a whole lot here anymore, and don't have close relationships with anyone since badger, 1028, Matt, and a few others way back when, but I read up every day, and have been trying to post more quality opinion to certain topics. .. The point I'm trying to get to, is every year I've loved playing in the Football Pool. Most years, I forget a week, (typically a thursday, the first one especially) but even on good years despite my best efforts, I usally finish around 10th-20th. This year however, has been different. I'd like to think I have a good knowledge of the NFL, and always have, but I can't say for sure. Whatever the case, it's my most loved hobby about life, is this league. For over a decade, I've been a proud Jets fan. I realized in 2002, when supposedly liking the Broncos, that I did not care all that much about their success, nor my home team Packers. Instead, I was just upset about the Jets slow start. Then came the speech from Herm, and the switch to my all-time favorite Jet, Chad. I've been hooked in an unhealthy way ever since, even crying when Cromartie had the big game against Houston. My gf was a tad worried. The Jets being in contention is my favorite time of the year, and to see hope like that was special. A few weeks back, I picked every game correct until RG3 won a late game on sunday. I had a slow start, but lately have been confident and right. I only picked Buffalo incorrect this week, and was quite unsure after I made it official. Since I was a young child filling out the newspaper pick em page, I have never guessed each game right. I've become so close so many times this year! At least with the week, I moved into first in the site's pool. I know it's not likely to last, but I guess I just like my 15 minutes. I think it would be cool to chat about the games with people in this thread, or others. Whatever the results, it's been really fun. IDK if anybody is giving a damn, probably not, or even reading after all this ranting, but thanks for reading if you have. I'm just in conclusion, really excited about the team, and glad this site is around, because it's truly the best Jets site, and it's not even close. :up: Now on with your 'Cool story bro's
