It's utterly hilarious how the doom & gloomers are already predicting a disaster season when free agency just began and we still have some 10 million to spend. :clown:

The Cardinals played in New York four years ago should not the Jets have to play in Arizona this upcoming season. I was looking forward to going to this game. I thought they alternated home and away.

No, we played Oakland away the last two times, Pittsburgh away in 2010 amd 2012, and have San Diego at home this year as we did last year. It would be virtually impossible to switch the things up and make the schedule work.

The original formula that was started in 2002 ran its course. The league switched a few things around. I'd explain more but I'm off to the movie theater in a few moments.

When the league decided to continue the current scheduling format in 2010 they fudged it slightly so no east coast team would have to travel to the west coast ( and also west coast teams to the east coast) four times a year like the Jets did in 2008 (At SD, at OAK, at SF and at SEA). By having Arizona travel to the Jets again in 2012 it makes the travel schedule easier and more fair for all teams in the AFC East and NFC West for 2012. Also, last year the Jets played at Oakland instead of home in order to reset the schedule. By the way you will notice the Jets travel out to Seattle again in 2012. When 2016 rolls around the schedule will be more evenly distributed if that makes any sense.

Thanks for posting that. You saved me time later tonight. In theater now. About to see "21 Jump Street."

Unfortunately you don't know this. Cassel had a Pro Bowl season in KC after he left NE. How can we be sure Mallett can do the same? Also, New England's defense is NO WHERE near where that defense was in '08. It's an apples/oranges comparison.

From a pure skills perspective, Mallett is head and heels above Matt Cassel as a NFL QB.

And you are correct, NE's defense is no where near what it was in "08.

His one NFL snap when he handed off to BJEG on a dive up the middle.

    Flawless footwork and ball control.
