This year's version? Did I miss something? Is free agency over? Who did the Jets get in the draft? What about camp injuries? Can someone fill me in?
Have you EVER looked at the NYJ history since the 1970 draft? Yes that is MHO after watching NYJ football since 1965 Who is a UFA left that is a game changer?
Pats have averaged 13 wins a season over the last 5 years. Nothing will change for the next 5 years whether it's Brady or Ryan Mallett.
7-9 at best as of now. I was at 5-11 there but things have changed for Indy and we SHOULD EASILY have a win there. The Jets will NOT win the AFC East once again. I doubt they make the playoffs too. Before one says I have no hope, you may be right. Hope went out the window in 1998. They were just lucky after that. They backed into winning the East in 02. Then more luck when they went to the Championship Game two years in a row. Now reality is back and the Jets will be the same old Jets we`ve always known. Lets see them prove me wrong. Thats all the hope I can have.
:rofl2::rofl2::rofl2: Nothing will change whether it's Tom Brady or Ryan Mallet. OMG, you must have started early for St. Patricks day. hhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! I'm going to give the Pats fan base a break and assume they're not all as delusional as you are.
I am excited about this season. Not because I expect the Jets to be contenders, but because they've finally separated Sanchez and Schotty so we can see where the issue is/was. If Sanchez takes some steps forward they can look to build around him. Still given our cap issues this year and next, I don't see the Jets making the moves to be contenders for a few years. But, if everything breaks their way this year with new safeties and a talented impact pass rusher in the draft, Sparano improves offence...10 wins isn't out of the question. But, my prediction would be 8-8.
You don't honestly believe that do you? To say it doesn't matter whether Brady or Mallett is at the helm is nothing short of moronic.
Tolbert, bush either would be nice with green, A solid RT or G for depth, there were plenty, Also a WR, and safety I feel those are 4-5 things we need, S, WR, RB, RT/LT (or someone who can play both and start) and G
lol, some posters seem to think the jets are automatically going to become a juggernaut next season, when in fact we could become even worse and step back further. anything is possibl with the sanchez i saw this past season. the defense has to step up big time because this offense is not reliable and you can't expect much from them. they'll have to show me something first before i believe they're anything but bottom third of the league like the qb has been. the two home games listed above and the two away are in my mind loses. san fran and houston being at home are not good as far as i'm concerned. 2 losses never are.
When Brady went down, Pats won 11 games with a QB who had never started a game since high school. Mallett is going to be a much better QB than Cassel.
What a surprise someone who claims to be a Pats fan picks the Jets to win 6 -8 games and picks his team, regardless of who starts at QB, to win 13. Get lost imbecile.ats_suck:
Dolphin fans said the same thing about Jay Fiedler right before Marino retired & Niner fans said the same thing about Jim Druckenmiller before Steve Young went.. In a way, I'm glad you have such ridiculous bias & optimism. You're always 2 steps behind any time Jet fans have any sort of misery. When the wheels fall off the BB/Brady era..It's gonna hit you HARD.
The Jets haven't even signed any free agents yet, or had the draft. Before you go proclaiming this shit you probably should stop being a troll. If the Jets get a safety or 2 and a pash rusher the defense is the best in football.
When Brady leaves they will suck. Mallet is no Brady he is maybe like a Kolb and he sucks so the pats will suck when brady retires cause they also have no WR. Welker is only good cause of Brady
So things that happened 4 decades ago now determine the future? Got it. I'm glad that you've been following the Jets since 1965. But since you are such a hardcore fan, surely you understood going into this free agency period that the Jets were severely restricted by the cap. And what if the Jets sign both safeties they are courting, draft an OLB pass rusher and WR with their first 2 picks in the draft? How does the team look then? What if a team cuts bait with their RT in early summer and the Jets swooped in a sign him? You're right though. The Jet passed on Warren Sapp for Kyle Brady so 2012 is a wasted year.
