http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=77448 there was a request for vbookie on Lakers making the playoffs
I think this is the seeding for them: If the Lakers win, they get the 7 seed (regardless of Utah) If the Lakers lose, and Utah lose LA gets the 8 seed. If the Jazz win and Lakers lose, LA gets the 9 seed and misses
correct it's prohibitive odds for Lakers to miss because they need to lose at home to Houston and Utah has to win in Memphis Memphis is playing to win because if they win and the Clippers lose, Memphis gets home court.
Harden was terrible. Houston normally plays at a fast pace, but he kept dribbling out the clock every possession and then either chucking a bad shot, or passing it to someone who couldn't do anything with it. Especially at the end of quarters, when he was running the clock for the final shot. He started moving with about 3 seconds left, which naturally meant no good shot. You need to get going with at least six left, to give yourself a chance to create a good look. And you also want to leave time for a possible tip in.
I will make it clear again, the NETS will beat the Heat in the 2nd round. I'm sold its going to happen at this point. I also feel that the Barclay center is going to be hostile with angry NYers. If it does get to it, the Knicks will be on the road against the Pacers while the Nets are home against the Heat. They wont be playing on the same nights, so Knicks fans wont be home watching the Knicks the same night the Nets are hosting the heat. NYers will be flocking to the Brooklyn to get at Lebron, I swear its going to be a madhouse in their and thats where the Heat will fall in 6 games book it.
Also does anyone feel the Lakers can beat the Spurs? I cant get a grip on who the Spurs are, they have all their players back(besides Diaw) but Parker just doesnt seem right. On the flipside the Lakers have been grinding to get in and have lose Kobe. I think the Spurs will win but this could go 6 or 7, and if Parker gets hurt than Lakers might take it. Im prepared for the worst TBH because I dont know who these spurs just are.
I think the Knicks facing the Nets in the conf finals would be the best outcome of that bracket, but we'll see what happens. The bulls are no pushover and I could see them potentially upsetting Miami as well.
I would gladly book it. Heat take that series unless they lose multiple players to injury. Brooklyn may not even beat Chicago. They're -140. I'm going to post series odds and odds to win the NBA title in Virtual Vegas now. http://forums.theganggreen.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=&f=37
So you don't the think the Nets who have moved to BK for their first year aren't going to fill in their own stadium in the second round of the playoffs? I don't understand this logic. The Nets fans are going to fill the stadium because their team is playing. Any Knicks fan is going to save their money for Knicks playoffs games, the Knicks fans who are rich enough to buy both are most likely sitting courtside or very near it at both arenas.
