lakers celtics shouldn't be on national TV now, even when you consider the history the franchises have. Celtics shouldn't be on at all, IMO, and Lakers only with a marquee team. Celtics and Lakers are out of the title conversation. Hornets/Cavs is hilarious. Maybe they were thinking to match up the last two #1 draft choices. The reason why the teams had the #1 pick is because they were (and still are) really bad.
Skip Bayless being pointless as usual: When the Thunder shots don't fall, they lose. Russell Westbrook is not a passer (he's #9 in the AST % in the league) etc etc
WojYahooNBA: Asked one GM what he had: "We're down to bulls--- text offers from ppl who couldn't keep a straight face if they called."
The Knicks are probably texting "Ronnie Brewer/Steve Novak for Star player X" in a mass text to all the GMS
First Take is doing CP3 vs Tony Parker. Still think CP3 is the better PG but I think it's close. Right now (leaving off Rose/Rondo) it's probably CP3, Parker, Kyrie, Westbrook, Jrue. I'm probably missing people though
First Take completely forgetting about Paul George on the Pacers. Didn't mention him once during their little segment about them
Paul 1, Parker 2 for me as well, and I've had them like that for quite a while now also, vbetting for tonight http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=76914
Well big trade sending Dextar Pittman from Miami to Memphis. Miami opening up a roster spot probably for Kenyon Martin who they have been eyeing. Celtics also grab Jordan Crawford for Barbosa's expiring contract. Washington saves about 2 million
Brian Windhorst @WindhorstESPN The Blazers will use an exception to take Eric Maynor, likely sending a pick to OKC. Sam Amick @sam_amick San Antonio's DeJuan Blair is stuck with the Spurs, I'm told. No deal done for him at the deadline. Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA Orlando has traded J.J Redick to the Bucks, league source tells Y! Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA Atlanta is out of three-way talks with Orlando and Milwaukee, source tells Y! Sports. Marc Stein @ESPNSteinLine Bucks NOT doing trade for Josh Smith and, as @JoshuaBRobbins reported for Orlando Sentinel, working on sealing three-way deal for @JJRedick Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA Milwaukee sends Orlando Doron Lamb, Tobias Harris and Beno Udrih, source tells Y! LeBron on cruise control and bored. Just attempted a lefty 3 pointer to end the third quarter just because he can.
Nate Robinson runs into Lebron's knee on a breakaway. Lebron comes away limping, Chicago gives a loud cheer.
Reggie Miller constantly mangling phrases. He wants Blake Griffin to "take the next level and be like Karl Malone."
saw a thread on another board asking how LeBron would've done had he went to college for a year. I went and looked up the season which would have been LeBron's freshman year. Look at the All-American teams. Busts across the board. The best could be some guys who were busts but managed to con teams into overpaying them (Ben Gordon and Josh Childress landed two of the worst contracts in NBA history). The #1 pick the next year was Dwight Howard, but most of the other high picks busted. Exceptions: #7 Deng, #10 Iguodala, #15 Jefferson, #17 Josh Smith.
