He was guarding the line, there was half a bat flying in the area and he's playing with a hernia. I'm not really sure what you want from him there.
YEs and no. From a lead stand point - yes. No doubt. But with a decimated pitching rotation it's hard to win. This is very frustrating and I hope they get a new training staff. Every year we lose key players. Last year we basically had a Double A team out there.

I'm older than alot of you guys, as bad a tank job this one is, nothing will ever equal the summer of '78 when the sox were in first by 14.5 games, the whole city threw the towel in at the end of july, then the massacre came as the yanks already had headwind heading into that series, and the just went haywire and toll a 3 game lead over the sox with 3 games to go, and then the yanks tank and the sox win all 3, and then the one game playoff ensued. what's a worse choke, 14.5 games in july ,or 3 with days left? both unthinkable.
