Well that's one more team who officially can not beat us out of a wildcard spot - there are 5 of them now: Buffalo, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Houston, and Denver. 5 more to go and we clinch a playoff spot.
I was thinking the same thing. Had the game on in the background as I was painting, so I was listening more than I was watching the game. The announcers are worse than bush-league. I've heard better calling high school football games. With all of the money they pull in, the league can't find anyone better?
The Eagles were home in their own beds ready to practice and gameplan Sunday night. They got Monday tuesday and wed to prepare. Visting team in these games has to travel WED. Although its not what Zona had to do vs Eagles in 2008 its a huge advantage in these Thursday night games to the home team. Its why they should make these games divisional games with teams that are close in proxemity. Home Thursday night team playing the road team has been a money maker the past few years.
Teams choose when they want to travel. Whether you're traveling Sunday night or the day before the game, either way it's a disadvantage to travel on a short week, and the time where there's a real advantage is where the home team was home the previous week (or on a bye, although byes end before thursday games). Not so sure about that one. I don't have the stats in front of me, though. This year the home team is 2-1 ATS, although Philly barely covered. Miami -2 lost 16-0. Jets -9 won 26-10 Philly -8.5 won 34-24
Giants at home again unfortunately, which means we get screwed out of a 1 PM game and get stuck with Oakland-SD at 4 for our CBS game. Trash.
It's a bad slate of afternoon games today. I will not be in a rush to get home to watch any 1:00 games. At 4:15, I will watch Falcons-Bucs.
lol, if you're the Giants, you run every play from here on out. Washington can't stop the run for crap.
First, shockingly bad run defense for Washington, and now a moronic facemask penalty for an offensive lineman on a good run. I'll be shocked if this isn't at least 1 14 point margin by halftime - maybe 20+ points.
So Favre's final start of his career lasts 1 minute and 20 seconds. I guess there's some poetic justice there.
