It looks tough (based on this year), but other than the two extra games and the mix of home/away, it's the same schedule everyone else in the AFC East gets, so that limits the importance of it possibly being tough. Of course, in this of all years it's not worth worrying about - if Favre retires (for real) after this year expectations for the Jets will be very different anyway.
the winner of the sb generally gets a tough schedule, or at least the best other teams have to offer, so i'm not surprised we have a tough road next year. wouldn't want it any other way.
it is not every team in the NFC North and AFC West, it is the team that finishes in the same place as us. so it is the same as the one on the website, which has 14 temas plus those last 2.
A very challenging schedule, but if we upgrade our pass coverage, and maybe add a speedster in the draft at WR, then I don't see why we can't win a lot of those games next year and of course the return of the Gotham Gunslinger?
so it'll probably be the Packers/Bears and the Broncos next year... two mediocre 1st place teams. Nice.
I'm all for looking ahead for this season but this is ridiculous. All of these teams will be at least somewhat, maybe much different by the time next season starts. Why even think about next years schedule with everything we have going on right now?? Give me a break.
With two other games, any shot we get the AZ Cardinals. I live in Arizona, and would love to see them play here.
That's tough. both the AFC and NFC divisions we have to play are very very good divisions. on top of that, we're gonna have to play the best teams in the other AFC divisions (if we win our division)
We play two other AFC teams, not NFC. Like how we played Tennessee and Cincinnati this year. No chance for those Cards, sorry.
the only thing I can think of is that one of those divisions will collapse. Hopefully its the NFC south... thats a tough division right now.
we get the teams that suck on the road at home... but the Saint and the Bucs are good home teams... good stuff. It'll be nice to beat up on the Titans again at home, and JAX is an all running team, they won't be able to do anything. Tough road schedule, but Mangini prepares the team quite well on the road. 6-2 in his first year and 4-2 right now this year... thats very good.
Who says it's too early to think about 2009 - I've been planning a potential vacation to Tampa ever since my first trip to Florida in 2006! Just need the date of the match to be kind now!
