Holy shit, that's the worst trade ever...well really bad anyway. I find it hard to believe that he needs to play 2/3 of defensive snaps to even net us a pick at all. I know we had to get rid of his salary, but we aren't even guaranteed a 6th or 7th?!! WTF?

edit: further examination shows that it won't be a 2009 draft pick, which would lead me to believe that we will at least get a 2010 pick for his overdrafted ass.

The whole thing behind trading D-Rob was to get rid of his salary and hopefuly getting something in return with it being conditional

Let's just throw this season to move up in the 2009 draft. Who's with me?!?!?! We didn't have much of a chance this year anyway.

well, for the sake of speculation, if the team does what it should due to the offseason moves, we might actually be one or two great players from pushing into the elite. The revis/harris draft could happen again, only and only if there are no holes that the FO underestimates- like a real NT, a new OL, pass rushers, etc. Since those are in place, and the team is healthy and retains a vast majority of key players and depth players, why not get those 3 no-shit talented guys out of college and be pushed into the elite.

the FO may actually do this if the team is successful and the above happens.

I agree. I was kidding, but you know if we get behind 3-0 in Week 1 there will be people here raising the white flag and talking 09 draft position.
