I kind of saw this coming, VT has always been a spoiler of ACC dreams in recent years. they did the same thing with BC a couple of years ago when BC was ranked very high
Just got back from the VT game. I think you got some facts mixed up. VT has won the ACC the last 2 years. Also, we didn't spoil BC, they spoiled us. Matt Ryan had 2 late 4th quarter scoring drives to beat VT and knocked out their national championship hopes. Boston College then lost the next week, and then to VT in the ACC championship game
oh sorry for giving you more credit. I thought you spoiled BC, maybe I was thinking of the ACC championship game
Boise State deserves to be ranked in the top five, maybe top three. If Texas loses, I'd love to see them in the national championship. ...don't give me that "strength of schedule" bullshit - the Broncos are completely dominating everyone that they play. Oregon just beat Cal today...that gives Boise a huge advantage. Fresno State hung in there with Cincy and Wisconsin - that gives them another good opponent on their schedule.
Ole Miss and Cal will fall out of the top ten. Boise State should move up to 6 with LSU and Penn State in front of them. If VT jumps Boise, I will be pissed...
Tebow was knocked out of the game against Kentucky. he had a respiratory illness and then hit his head against a lineman's knee on a sack, I think
He took a pretty nasty hit - probably has a concussion... Timmy did enough damage - he rushed for more than 100 yards and two scores. He also threw a touchdown. Heisman repeat? I think so...playing through illness and completely running over a conference opponent is a big deal.
huge break for iowa they got a questionable running into the punter penalty, which gave them a first down, which led to a big gain on a running play
The ACC....probably the most overrated conference in College Football. Quite a few disappointing losses today. Glad to see NC St beat Pitt....at least.
Is this legal in college football!? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e2bdtrmwyFI&feature=player_embedded#t=49 I mean the hit of course...
...no...it's not...Venable destroyed Colburn and it was a great hit, but he led with his helmet. That was bullshit and it was also the last play offensive play of the game for the Bulldogs.
flipping back and forth between penn state/iowa and houston/texas tech TT/HOU tied at 7, but Houston just hit a big catch and run on a 3rd and 6 and they're inside the TT 10 here comes a FG attempt after a 3rd down sack at the 14
Iowa took a cheapshot on a defenseless player after the pass was well incomplete somehow, no call now penn state is forced to punt
