Yeah it was a great game. From the looks of the score ticker lots of great games and upsets today. Damn it's great to have football back!
Don't make excuses...they got beat because of thier stupid coach... they were and are overrated.... I bet alot of games and part of handicapping is the coach. Charlie Wiess will continue to kill these guys. They have all the talent in the world and are a better team than Michigan yet he somehow managed to cost them... don't worry when John Gruden wins you guys a national title in 2 years I'll eat my words but don't plan on big things from this team with that fat arrogant asshole coaching your team.
ND gets screwed out of a few seconds, and charlie wiess throws the ball twice with 2 min to go, what a jerk off
finally a Russell Sheppard sighting, maybe not in the best way but at least he got in and made the catch
It doesn't matter ...the way some of these people on TV were talking they amde it seem like Notre Dame had already beaten Florida and Texas and they were already crowning them national champs after beating Nevada.
Weis playcalling offensively for the most part was great and he was put into a bad spot with his No.1 playmaker out of the game, relying upon a new guy(Evans) to be a substitute....its tough to ask. As for the last drive....I would have ran on 2nd down and see what comes out of it but I have no problem at all trying to go for the win on 3rd down. OT(Jets related) but this is the type of stuff we have been screaming over during the Herm tenture when he would just play it safe on 3rd and long and have the RB just run it out. You cant fault a coach for trying at least ONE deep route, something that had worked all day...to Golden Tate too no less.
My sister (a UCLA alum) is at that game today with my niece, who is being recruited to play soccer at Tennessee. Somehow, I think it was more fun for my sister. The coaching staff picked this weekend for Carlee's recruiting trip for obvious reasons, but I don't think they were planning to actually lose to UCLA.
I got recruited by the Vols as well... the weekend they brought me down on my recruiting trip was week one of Peyton Manning's senior year. They broke the record for largest crowd that day which has been trumped but ironically they beat UNLV who I later recieved my degree from.
nice play, even though I think Charles Scott is the better Rb, he has struggled this year in the little he has played
