That was the picture that was taken in the beginning of the season. He was not in this photo, and this is the photo they use in the Sports stores that sell the Super Bowl plaques. They did take another team photo downin Miami during the Super Bowl. I will scan the 1969 AFL Eastern Champs photo which I have at home. I believe some other guys are missing as well from this photo who were picked up later in the year.

Great stuff, guys, neid and junc especially. Thanks. Loved seeing Randy Rassmussen, Joe Fields and Dan Alexander. A week to honor the old interior linemen, how many fan sites do that?

Farrior turned out to be a good player for a long time. At the time I was pissed Parcells traded the #1 overall pick in the 1997 draft, especially after we managed to keep it from New England in his compensation package, but it worked out ok.

For us he had 1 good year, his contract year. He began w/ a good 1st half against SF then got hurt. He was never worth a top 10 pick for us. obviously for Pitt he has been.

Unfortunately I couldn't find John Woodring and kevin MacArthur so here's the best 57 we ever had:

Mo is all we need here, although Woodring would have been a good find.

Definitely Lance Mehl. the Raider game he clinched with the two INTs of Plunkett was one of the biggest games we've ever won.

Lageman was decent, but we still probably could have gotten him in the second round that year and maybe Andre Rison in the first. I only say it now because I said it then.

Do you really love the the Jets, or are you just saying it because you saw them?

"Obrien reads defense with the eyes in the back of his head"?

Why does Marvin have two numbers?

Bobby Jones had #55, from 1991 to 1996 when Marvin Jones was a rookie with the Jets. That Marvin wore #54 from 1993 to 1996. I guess Marvin didn't want to buy #55 from Bobby back in the day.
