I honestly think its a 5-11 season looking at that schedule. Wins vs Bills, Lions, Raiders and Texans at home Plus I think they win 1 of the 3 road games at Bills, at Packers and at Titans
I'm not calling you out specifically. But why is it a very easy schedule and we can beat those teams? Those same exact teams can be saying the same thing when they see the Jets. The Jets just went 4-12, so to expect wins or anything like that, or to declare the end "very easy" is pretty inaccurate. It's like when I hear "Martin will be going against the 28th run defense, this is a great weak for him to get going."...Well why can't it be that 28th ranked run defense being like "What a week for us to turn it around against the 31st rushing offense."...Not every scenario has to go our way.
This sched. seems real hard to predict... so many teams (NE, Detroit, Cle, Hou, Minn) will either overachieve or underachieve drastically from their play last season... the only games I am pretty confident that we will win are against Tenn and Buff (home) and lose to NE (away), Indy, Jax, Miami (away), Chi, and Minn, but otherwise I feel the rest of the games are pretty much up in the air... we could honestly go anywhere from 2-14 to 10-6, and this is what makes the NFL the best professional sports league in the world: because you never do know...
Here's something very different.....we have 4 or 5 games during the second half of the season scheduled for the same time that the Giants are playing. That's the first time this has happened since the late 70's.
We got a hard sche but We can do it. But If we have a bad season we could look at it in a way to get more great people at needed positions
I think a season similiar to the Browns 05' season is on the way...we improve by the end of the year and end the season close to .500... I say 6-10 at worst and 8-8 at best. There would be nothing wrong with those records...we are a team in transition...
It wouldn't suprise me if we have a decent record going into week 10 that the game on Nov. 12 at NE gets moved to Sun. night...If you go to the NFL site they have left the Sun night games open after week 9 and are going to but the best match ups on at night. Also what a Christmas in my house...My wife's an Eagles fan :eaglessuck: (I try not to hold it against her) and both our teams play that night.
I'd shoot for the Titans game opening weekend, but naturally that's my work weekend and I wouldn't be able to get away. Figures, same thing happened with the Falcons game last year, I couldn't pull off the trip and still get to work the next day
Just like last season. Our first game is really gonna tell us how the season is gonna go. I know we got a lot of new faces, but this team desperately needs a boost of confidence. (I need one too)
Wow..already know what my Christmas present is. What could be better than a "Squish the Fish" game and egg nog? WOO-HOO!
So we don't play NE in Dec. Now that's a treat. I hated that the last two years. Get 'er done. Last edited by JohnnyJohnson : 03-08-2005 at 04:20 PM. ==> What?! In a different time zone?!
