I will say it was nice to read your post about the wonderful day superbowl 3 was played on. I actually detected a smile behind the post. Yes, I was on this planet. Yes, there are some teams that have multiple superbowl wins, more teams that have none. Yes, there are a handful of elite teams. No, the Jets are not one. ...but, that does not need to affect a fans optimism for the upcoming season. If it affects yours, then fine. No need to throw a wet blanket on anyone else. It is not always what is considered an elite team that wins the superbowl. Sometimes a team comes out of no where. Anyway, this has been beat up enough. Thanks Champ and 314 for sucking me in. I mostly read and rarely post. I believe a pessimist is just an optimist with experience, but every year I will hope for my team even if I'm more than sure that their chances are slim to none. Already thinking about what I am cooking for the Buff game. 1.5 inch thick rib-eye with carmalized onions to start with. Then 2 burgers with taylor ham, fried egg and cheddar on top for inside. My Cholestoral just went up thinking about it. Anyone dreaming of the menu.
i enjoy calling and annoying them.and constantly declining ticket upgrades that aren't to my best interest.looking at seating charts and how each available seat has its advantages and disadvantages.such as ease of entrance/exit,bathrooms , concession stands,beer lines,sun side,shade side and overall view. truthfully i would like to negotiate for someone.... i could be your Season Ticket Consultant.....sorta what the ticket reps are to woody i would be for you
The Giants only had 2 until a few years ago and they won 2/ 10-6 & 9-7 teams. Of course we have shot this year.

This topic has taken a SERIOUS detour away from "New Stadium Stuff" with that being said, there are only about five fanbases in the NFL that have MORE of a reason to be optimistic than us as Jets fans. (based on the last 3 seasons) Only 2 teams make the dance, only 1 wins it. If the only way you will ever be happy is with a Super Bowl win......the odds say you will always come up short. I for one am INCREDIBLY excited for the upcoming season, whether it be 11-5, 10-6 or another "disappointing 8-8". :jets:
Good for U but for me after being a STHer since 65 I will accept nothing less then a SB W no matter what the odds U mention maybe. I will caution U that 2 years ago is just that 2 years ago & has ZERO bearing on the 2012 season except that the players still with us that played on that team are now 2 years older. I will also mention that according to the Green Bay Packers players last season was a "failed" season to use there words. :sad:
You are not a season ticket holder in the strict sense of the word. You are basically a small time ticket broker. You sell your tickets for a profit. When was the last time you actually attended Jets home games on a regular basis? The 1990s? You have derailed this thread and used it to further the same agenda that you have been putting forward for over a decade - the Jets stink and will never win a SB again. OK, we get it. Now please take the discussion of the upcoming season to another thread so we can get back to talking about seats in the stadium that some of us actually sit in for 8-10 weeks a year.

i think it might be time for champ to get a time out.... i have a friend who is like that too 17a. he will haggle with anyone over anything, i personally cant do it and i have called him and asked him to do some haggling for me in the past. the fucking guy went 400 dollars over on his verizon bill, after 2 hours of chewing them out they forgave the overage, upgraded his plan for free and apologized. for HIM being a douchebag.
