TEs are very important in any offense, we have some exciting, versatile TEs on the team. Excited to use their talents. Time will tell who the playmakers are on this team. The WR corp is very strong, everybody knows my relationship with LC, Cotchery is a hard worker and an exciting young player. Interview over....
I got back from lunch and caught the tail-end of the talk between Pennington and Steve. A Penny, classy as usual during his interview. Keeps saying things like injuries are part of the game, but he's staying positive and hopes that he can become a model for those in similar situations. He was asked if TE is going to play a large role in the system this year. Chad said Brian is still trying to figure out who the playmakers are and how to best get them the ball, but the TE group in general compliments each other well. He was also asked if he could name any playmakers, in which he dodged the issue by basically saying everyone is good. They did force him to comment on Cotchery. Pennington said he has had a great off-season and he expects him to be in the mix this year. Basically nothing new, but what do you expect our of pennington. I hope Schott gets Cotchery the ball, but he has to prove that he's a playmaker in TC this year.

He loses about 4 lbs. every practice This is a chance with a new team, looking to play Absoultely a competition here for the QB sport I could have played more consistently in Washington. You would think it's hard to be friends with the other QBs but it's not. Brooks is one of my closest friends on the team Can't speculate on Chads health. He is working hard and doing a good job. EM has been pretty intense, we are working on things that will help us throughout the season. Practices are very planned out. EM is like a chameleon. He could be a disciplinarian or he can sit back and be one of the guys. Curtis is a great player, the other guys are working hard filling in his spot You never look at a situation defeated, we plan on winning The offense will be versatile with multiple formations Different dynamic than working with the older coaching staff in Washington. Mike T... Great start, things going well EM is running very organized, well run camp. Lot of teaching EM spends a lot of time with his staff discussing what to go over in practice Watching personnel moves closely. Opportunities could come about later in August Curtis is being monitored by staff, when he is ready he'll go. Having 4 QBs depth is real positive. Competition brings out the best in everybody Chad P. Really impressed with his body language, he has worked really hard this off season. Is a natural leader. Brian Schott is bringing a formidable playbook. Patrick Ramsey. More career TDs than interceptions, comes from a great school, had a great offseason program. He is competing and working hard. Brooks Bollinger. Has a lot of moxie. Played with the O-line devastated, when he got in there he competed. Kellen Clemens. Sure he could be the starter this year if he is ready. Great leader, great competitor. The O-line has guys fighting for positions. AJ will be back on the right side this year. We have youth and experience at the positions. Jolley is trying to put last year behind him. There are a lot of opportunities on this offense, so he is competing hard. I'm excited about the defense. Sutton has lots of experience. The defense will be flexible and look different week to week. Vilma is a really good player with great intangibles. I think he'll be a great leader here Both sides of the ball have grown to require flexibility. We look at that when trying to find players I'm fortunate for teh opportunity I have been given, we are trying to create an environment where we can compete every year. Our goal is to compete this and every year We have to beat 4 tough defensive coaches in our division. We have to win those games to be successful We want to be the NYJ. We are trying to be the best NYJs we can be. The object is to win as many games as possible. Interview over
