... to achieve something in the NFL. Case in point? If you, as the QB, threw every single pass squarely at your center's ass, and you did that for a game, your rating comes out at 39.583. Now, if you threw every pass to a nearby fullback and gained zero yard but didn't throw any TD or pick, you come at eye-whopping 56.25 rating even with 50% completion ratio. At 62.5% completion ratio, you'd be at 66.6 [This is close to Sanchez's career QBR] and at 75%, you'd come away with 77.1 rating. [Sanchez was worse than this.] See where this is pointing to? Sanchez was god awful to say the very least. Geno? Posting 0.0 quarterback rating for an entire quarter had to be an exceptional work of art. Like I said above, if you aimed your center's ass all day long, you still come away near 40 rating. Recording 0 is an achievement in itself.
Geno is awful, no doubt, but the entire organization is infected and it starts at the top. I'm getting tired of saying it but the leadership of this franchise needs to be sanitized immediately and they need to start fresh. Total house cleaning from the top down.
don't worry Rex says we got a steal with Dexter McDougle in the 3rd ground.. Rex sure knows his talent.
I'm curious if any QB ever finished a game with more ints than completions or if geno put the jets in the history book.
I thought it was impossible for him to have a worst game QBR than the one he had at SD....but it seems I was wrong.
Todays performance is indefensible. I guess one could argue it was against a respectable D, but that argument wouldn't last long.
but but but Rex says qb rating is the most important stat! but but but Rex also says Geno will be a great qb even with a terrible qb rating! but but but but
It was a record setting day. I believe its an NFL record set by having 2 QB's with 3 turnovers in the same game.
It has happened over 20 times. Richard Todd had almost the exact same line in a 1984 game (2 of 8 for 5 yards and 3 interceptions) for the Saints. Ken O'Brien did it in a 1992 game at Pittsburgh. Johnny Unitas was once 1 of 11 with 3 interceptions.
Eli Manning had a ZERO in an entire game and the Giants stuck with him and he turned into a decent QB
