    until it's gone.

up front-i am a CP fan, went to his games at Marshall and followed the jets because of him. i watched as a certain segment of this board villified him endlessly over the last few years. noodle arm this, noodle arm that. you went crazy when he was released and BF was brought in. great, now we have a guy with a big arm, now we will win. at that time you overlooked CP good points and BF bad points. CP-leadership, accuracy, ball protection, etc-BF-interceptions, interceptions, and more interceptions. all of that went right over your head. well, that noodle arm just won the AFC east with a team that was 1-15 last year, and kicked the jets butt in the last game doing it. by any rational evaluation, CP had a much better year than BF. much better. His team set a NFL record with only 13 turnovers for the YEAR! heck, BF had that many by game 10 or so. CP was 2nd in the league in passer rating. CP led his team many times (5?) down the field in the 4th quarter with the winning score. For a guy who watched CP get demolished on this board for years, i find this very sweet.

have a good offseason, which BTW starts right now for the jets.

Nothing wrong with what you said... The truth always prevails in the end... mangini black balled him and made him the scape goat and the fans bought into it.. Good for CP. I cant imagen how great he must feel, and how badly he wants to say FUCK YOU MANGINI, but he is way to classy... regardles of what they do in the playoffs, he had a great year..

Most NFL QBs, and most backups, would have done as well as Chad this season with the good defense and the great running game the Dolphins had all season. He's always been overrated.

On the other hand, Chad always avoided the big INT, he makes the high percentage plays and he's no dummy. So he was sort of the perfect guy for Sparano's offense. (Or was that Parcell's offensive game plan all along?)

And why the F would you "expect to be banned" for posting this? You haven't said a single thing I haven't seen a million times already. So stop giving yourself so much credit.

I think most Jets fans liked Chad but hated that he got hurt every year. When healthy he will give you a chance to win every day. The fact that he made it through 16 games without getting hurt is a miracle.

He is a Dolphin. I despise him. I appreciate what he did for our team while he was here but nothing more. I'm glad he is gone and hate that he is doing well. I hope they get smoked in WC weekend.

He got hurt every year - because prior to this season, the Jets offensive line sucked horse apples through straws.

Pennington was quoted in the PRESEASON this year as saying the Miami offensive line (featuring at the beginning of the year two rookies and and a 2nd year center) as the best he'd EVER played with in the NFL. That wasn't hyperbole... it was the god's honest truth.

The funniest thing is with the money FINALLY spent along the offensive line by the Jets this season... they win the East going away EASY if they kept Pennington and avoided the Farve soap-opera. That's almost priceless. lol

    Want to know what is???

Signing free agents like stocking an expansion franchise... including Faneca, Pace, Woody, Jenkins, etc... etc... etc... $130 million.

Trading for Mr. All World QB Brett Farve to run the whole attempted buying of a championship show... $10 + million, and several draft picks.

Losing in your own stadium to the formerly 1-15 Miami Dolphins who's QB is the one your team discarded like a used tampon after signing the Big Apple heart-throb Farve... thus proving to everyone in the world that your just the SAME OLE JETS? ... PRICELESS!

I'll say one thing for the dolphins that I really admired, nobody touched their QB at all. CP had all the time in the world yet they were banging Favre around pretty good and don't they line-up in a 3-4 D as well?

Chad had more than enough chances to get it done here. I really don't second guess the Jets' decision to part ways with him especially given his high cap #. What I will second guess is the wisdom of signing Favre as a one year wonder. Essentially what you're saying is that you think the guy can get you deep into the playoffs, maybe even the Super Bowl and you're willing to bet a first-day draft pick on it.

Not only do we have one less first day draft pick but we also have absolutely no idea who our week 1 2009 QB is. We didn't learn a damn thing about Clemens or any other QB on the roster this year.

In hindsight, I think the Jets were crazy not to draft Flacco this year.

Mangini started the Chad Bashing too? Did he also break Affirmative Action laws cause he hired two white coordinators? I mean the one coach he was rumored to really go after (Ryan) is...white.

sacked once actually. And no one got pressure on him for the rest of the day. All this with 2 backup Guards playing.
