Good signing, pitching staff went from shit to solid. I think we should still make a play for Cepedes but these moves aren't so bad.

I have a feeling Fielder is coming.

Well, well, after 15 years Cashman is finally making some good deals..Pineda and Kuroda both within an hour...now they need a DH after trading Montero..Fielder?...lol..probably trade Hughes for a slugger.

I think the additions of Pineda and Kuroda give the Yanks separation from the Sox and Rays. More importantly, the potential is there for a true WS run, not just a quick exit from the playoffs.

I am pretty excited for the season to start this year. More than the last couple.

I heard an interview with Dave Sims (Seattle Mariners) saying he had a friend inside the Yankees inner circle (what ever that means and is) that were talking about how the Yanks would love to get Ichiro.

This supposed Yankee insider was telling Sims that the Yankees still think Ichiro is a valuable top of the order guy (38 yrs old). He still has above average major league speed and is someone the Yankees would value as a guy who can get on base and score runs.

I think Ichiro had 184 hits last year and missed the 200 mark for the first time in over a decade.

Anyhow, I heard the interview today and thought it was interesting.

I'd pass on Ichiro. We'd probably have to give up a decent prospect.

I would hate that move... I do miss Matsui but Ichiro took a BIG step back last year (0.2 WAR, Defensive Rating -5.7 [down from 15.1 in 2010]).
