Something I saw on JN, where it let's you edit the scenario of your choice. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/playoffscenario
Yes, but I also ran it where the Jets lose only one game and the Patriots win the division yet. Scary!
Football outsiders has perhaps the best system for determining playoff odds. They have the Jets at 76.5% http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/playoffodds
well gee that would make us 12-4 and them 11-5 you need tracker to figure that out no wonder alot of these posts and replys are nutty
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/playoff...=11111414&15=54114441&16=55450450&17=00055155 This one would be funny to see happen. Edit: Jets at 1 and no Giants http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/playoff...=11155550&15=00011145&16=45554151&17=11104404
If the Jets lose to either SF or Seattle, and win the rest, they win the division even if NE wins out, based on better division record.
The SF game is huge. Our team needs to rebound from a tough loss and pick up a big win on the west coast. Let's worry about this week first before we start discussing playoff scenarios.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/playoff...=01450004&15=01010040&16=00410551&17=01004400 One of the ideal scenarios, and it's not even farfetched. What this scenario would set up is one of the most important games in Jets history. Week 17 vs Miami. Win, and not only are we in the playoffs, not only do we win the division, not only do we get a bye week, but we get the #1 seed in the entire conference. Lose, and we're out of the playoffs. That would be the most stressful game in Jets regular season history bar none.
i can see the Jets going 12-4 and getting the 2nd seed, but no way does TENN lose 3 out of the last 4 imo
My ideal playoff scenario... http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/playoff...=41450044&15=11010455&16=41410551&17=15154404
Yeah, that one is probably not going to happen, but still, even if it's a #2 seed or missing the playoffs, it would be ridiculous.
We control our own destiny. Beat Miami and Buffalo, and we'll go to the playoffs most likely. Lose one or the other, and it starts to get dicier.
