Many of us Jets fans are worrying, once again I might add, about the HC vacancy and where we go from here. The miserably sinking feeling that ?..? We have seen this Jet movie before?. Are we starting from scratch again? Are we going to be subjected to a sequel to the 3-4 defensive re-evaluations? Are we going to be subjected to many press conferences discussing the new, improved, extra-strength 5 year process for a rebuild plan through the draft and free agency? West coast offense-versus smash-mouth run first game? On an on we go but one thing never changes: We do not ever have a strategy to build a team first winning organization from top to bottom. This latest fa?ade is starting wrong once again. Why? Because we have placed more emphasis on a 39 year old ?me first?, over the hill QB than to win at all cost attitude. Yes money talks for the owner, but you make money by winning not by keeping over the hill legends. Cowhler had it right on and I said it on a prior email that went unnoticed. He will not come here as long as Brett is here. Brett chemistry will destroy any attempt to win by playing mistake free football. Mangini took the hit and we can argue if it was right or wrong all day long but it does not really matter. Nor does it matter who we get next, Rex or Spag or Marty or whomever we want. They will be handicapped by a FO that puts a QB with limited value ahead of the team. WRONG answer. We are thought with experiments. We need to grow our own identity. Brett must go now.
