Bengals | Police and courts: M. Askew Sun, 23 Jul 2006 09:16:46 -0700 The Associated Press reports officers trying to arrest Cincinnati Bengals DT Matthias Askew after a parking violation used a Taser to subdue him and charged him with resisting arrest. Askew struggled with officers trying to handcuff him Saturday evening, July 22, and broke away before he was shocked, police spokesman Lt. Tom Lanter said. Askew, also charged with obstructing official business, was released on his own recognizance and was scheduled to appear in court Monday, July 24, a jail official said. Bengals spokesman Jack Brennan said Sunday morning, July 23, he could not confirm Askew's arrest and had no other information. This is getting so ridiculous...I love it The Cincinnatti Thugs
I almost spit out my coffee this morning. A stun gun?! "Police said that Askew took on a fighting stance, which is when they used the Taser to subdue him." For everything great Marvin Lewis has done with this team, the lawlessness is getting way out of hand. What's his face was arrested 3 times - I can't think right now. Taking chances on problematic players with borderline personalities, not having the right lockerroom influences, who is to say, but it's a rap no team should WANT to have. Lewis needs to make an example of someone yesterday.
Does anybody know what's up with Chris Henry? Will he be suspended or cut? I'm still amazed at all the WRs on their roster. Chad Johnson T.J. Houshmandzadeh Chris Henry Tab Perry Kelley Washington Antonio Chatman P.K. Sam Plus, their last three picks in the April draft are all wide receivers- Reggie McNeal, Ethan Kilmer, and Bennie Brazell.
