Rg3 never starts for the Redskins again? Cousins looks like the real deal. If they go on a stretch of wins l think its a wrap. I say let him get healthy, sit him the rest of the year. The rams cut Bradford and trade his ass for 2 and some change next season. Thoughts?
I don't really like Cousins. All he did was beat up on the Jags. My wife is Redskin fan and I live in MD and all I can say is fans here are sick of RG3.
RGIII is done. It's sad bc he seem like more than just above average professional talent, he seems like a really good person. How many times has he been injured now? His body will never hold up to the style he wants to play.
Johnny Manziel needs to be watching RGIII and what has happened to his career really closely here. He'll be on the exact same track if he tries to make the NFL his own personal NCAA.
^ Geno needs to get down too, I know he is bigger, but running QBs have short life span in this fast NFL.
He needs to get down but he also needs to use his legs more, especially in a game where the regular running game is getting shut down. I've been firmly in the Geno shouldn't run much category but for this team to win he's going to have to get 50 yards a game on the ground. When the offense is more fully matured that won't be necessary but right now it is. Geno puts a ton of pressure on a defense due to his ability to slide in the pocket find a hole and take off. That breaks defenses on 3rd down and it's one of the reasons the Jets have been better on 3rd down with Geno than his passing stats would suggest. He does need to get down in the slide when he's challenged but he's also capable of breaking a big play when there's only a safety between him and the end zone. It's a challenging decision, yet another choice that a young QB has to cope with early in his career.
Wouldn't shock me in the least if Cousins runs with the starting job. Yeah it was against the Jags but he looked very comfortable in the offense yesterday. And the Jags did rattle Nick Foles for most of Week 1. I'd go a step further though and say the Skins have a much better shot at a winning team and possible division title right now then they did with RG3 as the starter.
