    Tue, 14 Mar 2006 11:09:11 -0800

Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports the New Orleans Saints are now trying to trade the No. 2 pick in the NFL Draft because they no longer are in need of selecting a quarterback.

Why not? Leinart is the only QB close to a sure thing in the draft. He is the only player worth moving up for.

Probably...I honestly think they want AJ Hawk badly...they want to move down with the Jets because it is right before the Packers and Niners pick...

As a USC fan I love Leinart, and if we get him I will support him, but...

Wait until you see how he folds under consistant pressure. It's not pretty.

No such thing. Besides people question his arm strength among other things, he may be another Chad waiting to happen. If any QB, Vince Young, he is just raw talent who can win with his arm or his feet.

Didnt think of that. AJ Hawk might actually be worth the #2 though. If I were them Id go Hawk in the 1st and Mangold in the 2nd. I think that would go a long way to helping their rebuilding process

Why because he wasn't on as good of a team as Ben Rothlisberger? Eli Manning is only going to get better.

Yeah, but they probably would prefer moving a few spots to grab Hawk...

Are we talking about the same Matt Leinart, the guy that nothing less than ABSOLUTELY CLUTCH in the ND game? The man that kept their hopes alive on 4th and long by calling an audible and hitting Jarrett with a laser guided deep strike?

Sounds good, cuz I dont think Tenn OR NY is interested in Hawk...but if they cant trade down, value wise, I dont think Hawk at #4 is a reach at all

Leinart was awful that entire game. Sure he made one nice pass in a big spot, but he also fumbled on the next to last play of the game(if he didn't the game would've been over) and failed to get in on the last play, before an illegal push from Reggie Bush gave USC the win.

Come on. Pennington would be one of the best if not for his injuries. If he couldn't throw, he would not be talked about us a top 3 or overall pick. Agreed, there is no sure prospect, but I think the mobility thing is overrated. How many QB's have made it to Super Bowls lately that can win with their arms and feet? McNabb and that's about all. Look who has been in the Super Bowl lately:

Brady, Delhomme, Roethlisberger, Hasselback, Brad Johnson, Gannon, Warner.
