With Chad restructured could that one move solve multiple problems?

Now that Chad Pennington has restrustered and is still a Jet, I dont really think we will draft a QB in the draft. Do you think that it would be too expensive to pick up Kerry Collins? By doing that and possibly trading Abe to Detroit we could draft D Brick at #4, and if he's there we could draft Lendale White(who reminds me of cadillac) with the #9. Just a thought, it depends on the money as does everything else. Just for sh*#'s and giggles how much u think Lavar Arrington is worth, i would love to see him in green and white. That would give us a reliable QB, a franchise LT, and a solid RB to replace Martin when its time. I wont even bring up Arrington into the puzzle because hes unlikely.

I don't understand why Lendale White gets so much credit. I would HATE for us to draft this kid, and I really don't think he's going to get picked up in the 1st round b/c I think most scouts see right through him. He's supposedly immature and has a weight problem (stuff I didn't really know about), but he's not a back that runs with both power and speed as everyone seems to think. To me, it looks like he has a balance of both, but not a good balance. I don't really think he's very talented at all. Anyone can get ridiculous ypc behind his line at USC. Maybe it's just me, but I think he might be the most overhyped player in this draft.

And someone please explain to me again what Chad's restructuring has to do with a decision to draft (or not to draft) a QB at #4. I think we've all seen enough of his fragility and inadequate arm-strength. Chad is simply not the "franchise QB" we thought he'd be. Enough already, we need to make plans NOW to bring in another young, good quarterback THIS YEAR to groom him for use 18 months from now.
