    VA Tech!

I'm cursed, even my college team is a defensive team. I love watching good D play tho.

    The Syracuse Orangemen.

Yes, Orangemen. So stupidly and incorrectly PC, changing our name to the Orange.

Looks like we're playing a home and home schedule this year in BBall.

It's sad because the name had nothing to do with Native Americans.

Let's hope so. Lost a lot of big guys this offseason. And if Winston is more worried about eating crab, we ain't gonna win shit.

    Went to school at FSU.

If you're wondering why FSU? My older sister graduated and got her PHD there. Followed suit and went there as well.

oh ok im european so i got no ties whatsoever to any college team was trying to understand whats the motivation behind hardcore college fans since a lot of them never frequented the universitys in question. I personally like the way Alabama plays football but could be them or any other team that played that way.

Rooting for a college is usually very different than rooting for an NFL or NBA team. NFL and NBA is usually a localized thing or you rooted for a certain player or you saw a team a lot on TV or your Dad or family rooted for them.

College (other than some isolated teams like ND or Duke/UNC basketball) is usually a function of having gone there, or them being the local college or University or a family member having gone there.

    It's much more personal.

the hardest part for me of being a diehard alumni is letting go of old rivals when they reach the pros. As a Carolina Gamecock, I absolutely despise Clemson and as a result, I hated Tajh Boyd and thought he was a terrible QB... now I got to let that go because my damn Jets went ahead and drafted him. I am finding this to be difficult. do you have this problem?

I have a somewhat different problem. I absolutely hate the Knicks. One of my alltime favorite Orangemen is Carmelo--not that I truly loved the player like Pearl or Seikaly or some of my true favorite players, but because he finally won me my National Championship.

I can't root for him because of where he is. Now that he's opted out--I'm hoping he goes anywhere else so I can finally root for him again.

As a football team, we haven't been good for so long--I don't have any pure hatred for other college players, actually the opposite. I've been forced to appreciate other college football players because I don't have any of my own to root for.

I can't wait to watch the 4-5 QBs that came out this year. I'm going to love watching the Vikes, the Browns, the Raiders (vomit), the Jags just to see what those guys do.

Although one guy I always hated--the guy that actually broke up the Big East--is now our starting QB. Guess what, I don't hate Michael Vick anymore.

Michigan State Spartans. From Jersey, but ended up there in college. Great experience and my football and basketball teams have been great since I was a freshman in '08.

It's cool too because Rutgers and Maryland just became part of the Big Ten so I'm going to get to see some local games.

I was hoping we chose dennard in the draft. Loved watching him.
