What the hell were the jets doing going prevent d against the colts on that last drive. They basically gave manning a free walk to down to the endzone. The defensive backs played fine the entire game and now all of a sudden they r gonna give the colts 10-15 free yards every play.

Ehh nothing much you can do.. its more of the pressure not coming around.

  3. W/ 2 minutes left, no timeouts and down by 4...what you hope to do is take away the big play, keep the ball carriers in bounds, and get decent pressure from your front 4.

Unfortunately, the front 4 got very little pressure...that as the ballgame.

Bingo! You hit the nail right on the head JFIM. The Colts started the drive in excellent field position on their own 39 (because Nugent sucks!) and the Jet coverage was playing 10 yards off.

Basically, they not only let Manning march the ball down the field without putting pressure on him or the WRs, they allowed the Colts to drain the clock. In that situation, you are better off throwing the kitchen sink at Manning and letting the Colts score with a bomb quickly so you can get the ball back and go for the tie/win. Absolutely atrocious defensive play calling. Two minutes for the Colts is like five minutes for most other teams.

I was surprised at how little we blitzed. I know Manning can pick the blitz apart but it did work a few times earlier particularly when Coleman came on a blitz. I thought they would be more aggressive in the second half but they didn't. Played back the entire game and let Manning hit the short pass.
