I really think that we should wait to draft a QB next year in the draft becuase of the following reasons. JUST MY OPINIONS NO NEED 2 BASH ME  1. Lienart- I knw this guy has done great things at USC and u really cant argue wid numbers but u can lol. But it scares me because I believe If you wanted a clone of Chads arm just look at Lienarts arm. He really doesnt have great arm strength, and yes I knw thats not whats going to win games. But we dont have a great Oline to begin with and he could be just as injury prone as Chad, we dont knw because he was behind a great Oline at USC. Pros: Great leader and Awareness Cons: Lack of arm strenght and possible injury prone with our Oline 2. Young- I like his mobility but again his lack of great awareness and a pretty bad throwin motion just lets me knw that we could be running into Vick number 2. I can see this guy just running around on the field because the Oline breaks down and then throws four picks. Pros: Great mobility and leadership as we saw in the Bowl game. Cons: Awareness and decision making, bad throwing motion. 3. Cutler- its real simple this guy is a hype machine. He really shouldnt be picked until the early second round. I think hes got a great arm n needs a lil help with some other areas and I really like the kid. But hes 2 much of a risk at this point we need 2 be looking for a sure thing. We could be possibly looking at Ramsey right here again and thats the guy were still trying to pick up from the Redskins. Pros: Great arm Cons: Possible everything else lol In conclusion Im not saying that these three QB's are going to all be Ryan Leaf lol. I just dont feel there is one that has a good all around game. They each excel in certain areas but lack badly in others. I think we should wait till next year and try and see if Penny can go or not. I personally dont think he can come back, but give him this year to prove us right or wrong because we do still have a good amount of money tied up 2 him. In the meantime bring in someone who can compete with him incase he def. cant cut it and go from there.
Its amazing how arm strength is such an issue to everyone who had no issue with Chad's arm when he was winning games. And if we can get this clear, Leinart has an average arm which is better than Pennington's. Also he has the intellect to be great
I agree.......Chad deserves and chance.....I think by trading Abe for Schaub or Ramsey and a 1st next year and maybe a 2nd this year (depending on which QB) we would have a great chance of trading two number ones next year for a franchise QB (if needed).... plus we have so many holes to fill.....Tangini has to change the culture and I believe Chad could be very instrumental....
Leinart arm strength queestions comes froms scouts having nothing really else to critic a bout. leinart arm is fine its strongr than chad he actaully has long ball range and is very very accurate
I agree but I really have never liked that Chads arm was a lack there of even when we were winning because it also cost us to lose games becuase of a floater he threw or he couldnt get a lil zip on it to complete a first down u knw wut i mean. So I agree but also disagree at the same time. I wasnt complaining but now that hes injured it twice it gives me the right 2 complain and worry about someone who I think has about the same arm strength.
Leinart's arm is stronger. Im not going to argue but its just common sense when he watch his gametape
Like I said I agree its a lil stronger, You cant say its common sense that really doesnt make any sense its all opinions. You believe one thing I believe another, because Ive watched a lot of USC games and he underthrows a lot of passes. His recievers are constantly coming back to catch passes.
every footballl fan has watch usc atleastonce this year. the games you saw didnt he make all the throws?
Did he make all the throws no , did he make all the big throws yes again like i stated in my thread, did he make all of them good No I dont think so. Im not saying that hes got to be perfect but he had a great team around them, alot of credit goes to them also people forget that. They bailed him out of alot of disgusting throws from what I saw. His wideouts came back for alot of passes had to make spectacular plays on a lot of passes because of his lack of arm strength. Yes he made the big plays and the right reads no doubt about it, but that was college this is the NFL now and Im not saying he isnt going to be good. I just dont think hes going to be a good fit into our system and team, just like certain great players flourish elsewhere when they leave. Ex, Corey Dillon, Santana Moss,etc..
