Interesting article on nj.com...does it hold any water? http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/20..._jets_game-ending_field_goal_got_blocked.html
I saw this live and yelled at the TV. I dont know if thats common but I dont see how you help a player out like that.
officials do that kind of stuff all the time. They let receivers know when they are off the line, let QBs know when the play clock is running down, let DBs know what they won't allow as far as pass interference... -as well they should. No one wants to see silly penalties. It's the paper trying to make a big deal out of a non-story.
As a probably biased Jets fan, I feel like this is the kind of break the Pats get too often. This one, too, seems fishy. I wonder if it's actually a big deal
I think illegal formation is a bit different from the examples you gave. Especially when the snap is imminent.
These bad calls are all the more ball breaking because of the Jets deficiencies. When everything goes against it's really tough to win.
Please, how about the eye in the sky deciding not to review Nelson's non catch at the sideline? if that was ruled correctly, they never get to the FG attempt. I've said it a million times, the refs suck for both teams far too often for a multi billion dollar industry.
The Jets got a good amount of favorable calls last night, yes. That definitely hasn't always been the case in Belichick's 29 games vs. the Jets as a NE coach, but last night - yes the Jets got some surprisingly favorable calls. You are right about the Nelson catch. And Idk if anyone really is complaining about this play in question on the FG block, but if they are they are being silly.
This happens all the time....The officials will help teams avoid penalties when they can...This is a non issue....The officials had nothing to do with us losing this game...
That's not uncommon. Watch a FG in most games on sunday. You will see the same thing at least once a game
