Who would you keep between Cotchery, Edwards and Holmes?

As with every post this one is based on assumptions.
Let's assume Edwards keeps up his level of play, Holmes keeps his Steelers form and Cotchery keeps up his Jets form.
Let's also assume next year we won't have enough cap space to keep all three.

Who would you look to trade?
Cotchery might be the last name on your mind but a guy like Edwards is very useful for Sanchez. Big target, elite speed and helps in the run game. Holmes is much more talented and has achieved much more in this league.
If the Jets feel they can keep themselves out of trouble, talent-wise it's an easy decision.

Cotchery however has given a lot to the Jets and has proven a valuable contributor (although rarely a game breaker) time and time again. Also he has never gotten into trouble off the field, be it for banned substances or improper behaviour.

This to me looks like a VERY hard choice. Consider Cotchery is a favorite of mine but the other two would, imo, be able to contribute more and harder to replace. If I can get reasonable deals with Holmes and Edwards I think I'd keep those two and draft a slot of the future... although it would pain me every day to see Cotch in another uniform.

IF someone is crazy enough to give me a first or a high 2nd for either Edwards or Holmes I'd ship one of them out and keep Cotchery.

PS AT THE END OF THE SEASON!

    Edwards and Holmes.

I really dig Cotch, but he's not at their level.

It's hard to pick a single WR when they are at pretty close levels without knowing the receiving corps they'd be complimenting.

EDIT: Obviously Holmes and Edwards are more talented though, but I can't decide between them unless I know the others they'd be complimenting.

Who knows with the DUI thing. If he is going to miss 4 games they may ship him next year or let him be a Free Agent and keep holmes and cotch

    ????

If somebody called the Jets, and asked for Edwards, Holmes, or Cotchery RIGHT NOW.....they would hang up the fucking phone.

I love Cotchery but you gotta keep Edwards and Holmes if possible.

Cant answer that yet, because Holmes is not in there right now and Braylon is playing really well

HOWEVER, Holmes is so sick that you have to give him the contract if he delivers. He is a vocal leader type too

Im going to say right now Holmes & Cotchery

Edwards, and Holmes are both damaged goods(off the field). On the field they are sick players.

General Managers around the NFL(besides shitty teams) will most likely not want to give them any sort of long term/great money deals.

I think Edward's fucking up helped us with resigning him during the offseason.

    How long is Cotchery's contract?

Don't think its that simple because salary comes in to play. If it were only based on talent, I'd go with Holmes and Edwards. Cotchery is so clutch though. Clutchery.

Cotchery also stays out of trouble.

But you can't deny the big play ability of Holmes and Edwards.

Holmes is obviously the best of the bunch because he's got deep skills AND he's got good hands.

Between Edwards and Cotchery, I'd probably lean towards Cotch even though I'm a big Edwards fan. Cotch doesn't get into trouble and he's more reliable.

Cotchery and Holmes. I'd like to see all three, but if two is the only option then it is these two. While Edwards has been playing very well this year, I still cannot justify losing Cotch.

That said, I'm still hoping that Braylon has devalued himself enough with all of this off the field bs that we will be able to sign all three.

Cotchery is too much of a Jet to let go.

In an ideal world, Edwards sticks around for a hometown discount, but that won't happen. There are too many other good QBs out there that can also get him the ball and teams that can pay him more.

at this point BE looks like a must have. he has better chemistry with sanchez and is overall playing better then cochery, i'm curious about holmes though. if he comes in and goes lights out i'd rather see him and BE then BE and holmes. BE has made a ton of money already and loves being a jet so i think he'll sign a resonable deal. Holmes has never gotten a big paycheck and hasn't said anything about being a jet and already has 2 SB rings. i think holmes is gonna go to the highest bidder in free agency and we'll keep BE and cochery

how about holmes and cotchery and draft a big time receiver of our own.

lets wait and see how it plays out. lets see what type of chemistry holmes and sanchez have.

lets also not worry about this right now. enjoy the limitless weapons we will have this entire season.

Cotchery is and has been so sure handed that I don't want to see him off this team until he can't produce any longer.

With Braylon, we could/should be able to get him at a much reduced price because of the DUI situation. Who knows if he meant what he said when he said he hopes to have an opportunity to retire a Jet, but we'll see how things go throughout this season, with all three receivers, and take it from there.
