With this whole thing recently coming out about Chad being on a short leash in today's game, who honestly will root for him to do well? I may get blasted for not being a fan if I don't root for my team, but personally I'd like to see the defense keep us in it, Thomas Jones to carry our offense, and just see Pennington make short dump after short dump.
Its sad that its come to this. We have to root for our QB to suck so our stubborn coach can finally make an obvious decision. I hope Chad does well because I want the Jets to win. But it shouldn't take a poor performance by Chad for Mangini to finally see that he's done.
I'm hoping for the worst out of him so I don't have to see his water pistol, pop-gun, pansy-ass, wounded duck throwing wet noodle arm ever again.
I want him to completely tank it. No point in lying or trying to discreetly say it. I hope he looks completely terrible and the Jets fall behind early. I hope Anthony Schlegel eats him up. Then I want Clemens to come in and lead the Jets to a miraculous comeback.
i root for the jets to win, just like every week i never root for a draft pick. It would be very hard for me to root against chad. I just couldnt do it. I was there vs the colts playoffs 03 as were many of you im sure. no one could ever say he was never a good qb.but the playfakes and confidence that made him good just arent there anymore. I hope he does great,if not i hope clemens comes in and does
If a loss now with Chad sucking leads to Chad getting benched, it could mean wins in the future seasons with Clemens starting. The season is a lost cause it is; having Clemens on the bench won't help his progression. Having Chad in now won't help us win.
Some of use are pathetic does notmake sense, and it should say yous, not use, because you're tryingtomake the word "you" plural, which still doesn't make sense because that's not a word. It should say "some of you are pathetic". Anyways, rooting for a player on your team of choice to play badly is pathetic, I'd rather those people stop watching and posting. I want the team to win any way they can, regardless of how well or poorly anyone plays....because I am a fan.
I want Clemens to start, but I don't want Chad to play bad. At this point, it's unfair to think Clemens would turn the season around enough to be worth rooting for Chad to go down. It is also illogical to think a good performance by Chad today will somehow extend his future past this year. So I root for Chad to do great. Let his last days in a Jets uniform be memorable ones.
i feel pretty much the same, except for the Schlegel part. Because if he does well than certain "fans" will be calling out Mangini saying that he didnt know the talent he had in the kid... :breakdance:
Haha, I doubt it will go that far. People generally hate Schlegel. I just love the fact that he hunts wild boar with nothing but a knife and a dog. That is the manliest thing ever.
