I went with Marvin Harrison on this one. The top three on this list in my opinion are Steve Smith, Marvin Harrison, and Torry Holt. I chose Harrison based on his consistency and ability to make some pretty amazing catches. However, it is a very close choice.

Randy Moss just isn't the same receiver he used to be. He doesn't make catches that he should be making. Owens may be the most physically talented but he is a joke. Chad Johnson hasn't shown the consistency he should be showing with his abilities and although Andre Johnson is good I think the three above are better. Isaac Bruce shouldn't even be on this list.

gotta go with torry holt, although him and harrison really are a toss up, and if asked to pick one to start a team i might go with andre johnson, that guy is so fuckin underrated

The top three are Torry Holt, Marvin Harrison, and Steve Smith. What order you put them in is up to you. I prefer Holt.

Anquan Boldin, Larry Fitzgerald, and Hines Ward also need to be in the discussion.

As far as the new ones, it's between Greg Jennings and Marques Colston. I like Jennings.

If anyone watched the Giants game this week it seemed like Johnson could get open against any coverages. However, Harrison and Holt are a step above at this point.

I voted for Smith, I saw the guy play in college and I coulnd't believe how small he is. I couldn't imagine how good he'd be if he had ideal WR height.

I'm with Cakes though as Greg Jennings is on his way to being a great WR

Pretty much sums it up, except i think Steve Smith edges out Marvin and Torry. Hes such a game breaker its ridiculous. Hes undersized but plays like hes 6'4. Give me any of these guys over TO anyday

Between TO and Holt for me, and TO hasn't been too good this season, so I'll give the advantage to the former.

The best 3 are Steve Smith, Harrison and Holt, imo. I voted for Holt because I had a big arguement with my friends a few years ago that Holt, if not the best, should be in consideration for the best and my friends all told me I was stupid. Steve Smith is probably the best though, that guy just seems to get open no matter what.(except last year against the 4-12 Jets!)

Gotta go Holt on this one. The guy is just TOO consistent. It doesn't matter what quarterback is in, what running back, what coach or coordinator, the guy gets open, gets catches, gets yards, and gets touchdowns year after year.
Sure, you can kinda say the same about Harrison, but he's had Peyton Manning throwing him the ball for the past 7 years. When you get that much time to build up a report with a quarterback it just becomes routine.
Whereas Holt has had several things change throughotu his career, severl of them recent (new coach, quarterbacks being hurt, new RB coming in), and he still performs better than almost every reciever in the league.

Steve Smith is good, and I give him credit, but I'll wait for him to have 4 or 5 1.200 yard seasons before I call him the best in the league.

I used to think Chad Johnson was one of the best, but apparently without Levi Jones protecting Palmer and giving him time to throw the ball downfield he has become inneffective. Some people may use that as an excuse, but I think a truely great reciever is able to adapt his game to what goes on around him (see Holt), Ocho Cinco has not been able to do that.

T.O. has all the talent in the world, but his antics get the best of him. If he would just be quiet and go out an play he could very well be the best in the league. He is a downfield threat, but he also has the ability to make a play happen on a short catch, which is coveted by all recievers (except maybe Steve Smith).
Randy Moss, like T.O., has all the natural ability in the world, but since he is on an absolute garbage team right now, and not getting the time to run any routes (let alone downfield), I'll pass judgement on him. It really is sad that a guy with so much talent is being wasted away on the worst franchise in football.

Andre Johnson is a guy who I think is one of the, if not the most underrated reciever in the league. He plays on a pretty bad team, yet goes out every week and makes plays. He is perhaps the Texan's only playmaker and consistently gets big stats. He was limited early in his career by injuries, but he will be one of the top recievers for years to come.

I am a little dissappointed that Roy Williams wasn't on this list. Roy is another case of a guy stuck on a bad team. We all know he has talent, but I watched him very closely on just about every other play during the Jets game, and this is a guy that gets open. I mean, if it was a pass, there was a 90% chance he was open, it's just a shame that Kitna didn't look his way too often. His game stats were terrible (2/27/1), but trust me, he was out there scorching any DB we put on him. It's going to be fun watching Andre Johnson and him over the next decade as they prove to be two of the better recievers in history.

I forgot about Roy WIlliams, he is really exploding this year. I thought he was a little overrated, and he certainly has a big mouth, but he's been playing at an extremely high level this year.

Fitzgerald needs to be in this discussion, and I think Andre Johnson would be a lot higher if the Texans were a better team.

Torry Holt is the most underrated player in football, I truly believe that. He's the best wideout currently in football, because no matter where he lines up or who he lines up against he is more or less impossible to shut down completely, which few other players in the game can say. Plus, he's the model of consistency. What's not to like?
