Inspired by the thread posting the silly question of, "Could you be a fan of both the jets and the dolphins?" Me personally, I hate both the dolphins, and Pats equally, but my hatred is slightly more toward the Dolphins. What about you?
Pats.... they won by cheating, their coach told us to fuck off when he resigned, and their owner is known as one of the biggest douches on the planet.
Before spygate it would have been Phins easy but with belicheat im going to have to say Patsys. Although the Tuna going to Miami does make it an intresting conversation
The fact that I'm a Yankee fan makes me hate everything Boston, and I'm developing a strong dislike for the Pats even more so because of the whole spygate situation. I'm sure the feeling is mutual for pats fans toward the jets. But since I live in Miami, I can't stand the dolphins equally as much. The fans drive me bananas down here. And you can't listen to sports radio here without hearing verbal abuse toward the jets and there fans. So i strongly dislike both teams with a passion. But do to there recent current events, my hate leans slightly toward the Pats.
Gotta be the Pats. A) They always beat us, so I hate them for that B) They've been successful, and I always root for those teams to fall. C) They're cheaters. I'm pretty apathetic towards Buffalo, I don't like Miami but we own them, and I like the Giants.
Pats. Nothing wrong with the Giants...I was actually happy for Giants fans this past year (but probably because they beat the Pats.)
I hate the Dolphins more. But Pats fans all belong at the bottom of the ocean. Or maybe inside a giant cloud of angry bees.
I don't know. At least the Dolphins won legitimately. Marino screwed us over. Brady had a team of film experts to help him figure out our gameplan. If Marino had the Pats' intelligence unit to help him he probably would have won 8 Super Bowls. Namath would have won 15.
This is a generational question. If most of your fanhood was during the 20+ years that the Dolphins just dominated the Jets you probably voted Dolphins. If you're a younger fan who has only been watching since the 90's or later then you definitely voted Pats. And BTW, the dominance was in the standings not on the field in the case of the Dolphins because the Jets always fought harder against them, even when they had no real prospects. The Pats have just bullied the Jets across the board since 2001.
As much as I have hated (and still hate) the fish, between going to college with a bunch of massholes, spygate, Belicheat, and Brady the Pats have firmly taken over the spot of public enemy #1.
A tough one that really wasn't so tough in the past. At this point I put them neck and neck, but I still have go with the true pukes of the AFCE, the Miami Dolphins. Tell you why. What the deluded contingent of Patriots fans fail to get - on purpose - is that the new generation of hate for the Patriots - league wide, let alone the Jets fanbase - is not made up of a converse contingent of sour grapes only. Pile up on the winner! Dream on with that idea. It's more like pile up on the *winner! I can hate Miami for the Mud Bowl. Dirty, filthy, pool - that was in plain sight. Even people who hate football, much less follow it will say, "Oh, the New England Patriots. The team that cheated and got caught. I've heard of them." That works for me. EDIT: The Giants are a separate animal. I hate them as well, but at first I thought it was strictly a divisional question. P.S.: My rabid Jets fan friend Vinnie, I went to see the SB at his house this year. So he says to me on the phone before I leave the house, "If the Giants win, I'll vomit. If the Patriots win, I'll purge." That about sums it up.
